Police to re-open Denis MacShane expenses investigation
The police are to reopen their investigation into claims of expenses fraud against ex-MP Denis MacShane.
Mr MacShane quit as MP for Rotherham last year after admitting using fake receipts to wrongly claim more than £7,000 of parliamentary expenses.
He apologised to his constituents, saying his actions were “grievous”. Read on…..

Good news indeed. However, I believe (and call me a sceptic if you like) that, even if it goes to court and he is found guilty there will be no real punishment – the judge will deem that he’s been punished enough because he’s resigned and paid the money back.
