This exchange from Youtube, is illustrative of a very strange mindset indeed:
Rik Van Hegan started Rothpol to inform the public about Rotherham politics – Labour have dominated Rotherham politics since before the flood – Rothpol has quite a few articles highlighting Labour shortcomings in Rotherham. Not very hard to see the causal connection there or are you very, very dim Mr? Schwarzenegger?
Terminator says Rik Van Hegan has every right to highlight the shortcomings of any Political Party; however he seems quite happy to attack individuals, ethnic and religious groups in the most? malicious way. He is responsible for everything including comments that he allows on his site including articles; therefore ‘Physician take thy medicine. Or better still; what goes around comes around Rik.’
Firstly Rothpol rejects the accusation that this blog has attacked any racial/ethnic or religious groups either now or in the past!
Secondly the comment author seems to have an extraordinarily strange view that political parties can be scrutinised and discussed but none of the individuals may even be criticised?
The Rothpol view, is that anyone engaged in transacting the ‘peoples business’ is fair game, as too, are all who are involved in practical politics, whether a member of a political party or not.
Rothpol has always wished to discuss political policy, but Labour in Rotherham has no policies, save for one! Namely to run the Labour Party in Rotherham in the sole interest of Labour Group members. Not for the many then, but the few!
Simple really, Labour’s writ counts for nothing in Rotherham! Time for change, methinks!
