Three MPs under investigation in expenses inquiry

Police and prosecutors are still examining the expenses of three parliamentarians, it has been disclosed.

A panel consisting of senior figures from Scotland Yard and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is considering whether further action should be taken in the cases.

One of those involved is believed to be Labour minister Denis MacShane, MP for Rotherham, who was referred to police by the parliamentary standards commissioner in October 2010. Read on…………

THEY say you can’t trust politicians – and certainly it seems Denis MacShane’s Twitter doesn’t always stand up to scrutiny.

The Rotherham MP, currently suspended from the Labour party while police investigate expense claims, notes that: “Since 1960, every nation that has hosted the Olympic Games has seen a change of government or leader at the next election.” Read on……..
