Shaun Wright – Makes Private Eye!

Rothpol could not resist bringing readers the good news, which just dropped through my letter box!

Put this way, it seems incredible that Labour selected this incompetent oaf, as their candidate for South Yorkshire Police & Crime Commissioner! It must have been a case of Roger knows best!

Nominations don’t close until Friday, there’s still time for Labour to do something about this simply outrageous situation.

Inshallah we can get rid of morally-corrupt Rotherham politicians and then elect some Rotherham politicians with high principles, scruples and morals who will protect us and our familes from the Wicked Evil that lurks within our midst. Inshallah.

I think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick here. The EDL don’t give a hoot about protecting our young people, in fact many of their members have multiple convictions for sexual assault and molestation. They are a fascist organisation whose sole purpose is to attack and demonise the muslim community. The fact they are virtually demonstrating every weekend in some town or city is clear evidence its got nothing to do with the current issues in the press. What they have done is take advantage of the press coverage and tried to exploit the fact that sadly we like many other towns have monsters living amongst us who prey on young vulnerable children.

As far as Shaun wright is concerned you like everyone else in South Yorkshire will have the the opportunity to have your say on weather he carries any responsibility for the abuse against our kids on November 15th.

I know there has been some colourful rants on this blog but we have to remember its the police who investigate and CPS who prosecute.

      • Dear Jules,

“I know there has been some colourful rants on this blog but we have to remember its the police who investigate and CPS who prosecute.”

Indeed, but their is still that deafening silence from Dodger and the Town Clerk, who should, but repeatedly haven’t and didn’t take strategic and political charge to lead our town through this period of darkness into a better place.

Dodger’s vacuum leaves an empty stage for others, including fascist extremists, or radical political opportunitists, to gain airtime and voter sympathy, hence the EDL march last Saturday, in which there were a number of arrests – paradoxically not of outsiders but from Rotherham and Sheffield.

I won’t vote for Shaun Da Sheep – period. He’s an utter political failure in every way.

        Will you?

        And if so why?

        And if not why not?

  3. The reason the EDL came to town was the repeated failures of so called leaders who for over the past ten years have failed to rid us of the cancer of child abuse growing in our town.

The so called leaders have remained silent while children have been systematically abused.
Until the leaders work with all the agencies to remove this cancer out of Rotherham the abuse will continue.
If the so called leaders are not man enough to stand up to the perpetrators then we need to vote for individuals with the courage to act.
We all have a vote, use it.

  5. Colourful rants Jules, I wonder why?

    ThIs from the BBC:

South Yorkshire Police ‘must get a grip’ on child abuse

South Yorkshire’s chief constable and one of his top officers have been told to “get a grip” on child sex offending in Rotherham.

David Crompton and Det Ch Insp Philip Etheridge were criticised by the Home Affairs Select Committee.

It comes after The Times said confidential police reports referred to widespread abuse of girls by Asian men.

The session in Westminster heard of three unconvicted members of one family being linked to the abuse of 61 girls.

    ‘Very disappointed’

The committee members also heard evidence of a 22-year-old man going unpunished after being found in a car with a 12-year-old girl, a bottle of vodka and indecent images of her on his mobile phone.

The committee is very concerned and the public are very concerned”

Keith Vaz MP Chairman, Home Affairs Select Committee
Committee chairman Keith Vaz asked Mr Etheridge how many successful prosecutions there had been this year for child sex exploitation.

“None,” was the answer, and just one in 2010 and eight in 2008.

Mr Vaz said: “I am very disappointed and I am very surprised nobody has been prosecuted this year … you need to get a grip on the situation in South Yorkshire.”

He added: “I want you to write to us in a month’s time setting out what has been done.
“The committee is very concerned and the public are very concerned.”

Mr Vaz added the force needed to approach the issue with the same rigour it was bringing to its dealings with the Hillsborough investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

    Thousands of crimes
The abuse of young girls in Rotherham, and also in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, came to light after a series of investigations by The Times.

The newspaper claimed documents it obtained show agencies were aware of extensive and co-ordinated abuse of white girls by some Asian men in Rotherham for which no one has been prosecuted.

The paper said a confidential 2010 police report warned that thousands of such crimes were committed in South Yorkshire each year.

South Yorkshire Police have previously denied any suggestion they had been reluctant to tackle child sexual abuse and pointed to a series of successful criminal convictions.

Mr Crompton was asked today if “ethnic origin was a factor” in the Crown Prosecution Service charging suspects. “No, it’s not a factor at all,” he said

Your story of abuse at the hands of a racist, is a harrowing one, but throws a spotlight on the SY Police’s lack of action, or even understanding, of the true nature of hate crime.
It is serious, it makes people ill and coupled with inaction from those in authority, compounds the insult still further!
An email to Keith Vaz telling him your story might be a good idea right now.

  7. Jules is absolutely right that the police must investigate and prosecute. I absolutely do not defend their poor record on this matter in Rotherham. On the contrary, I have been dismayed by the failure of the Chief Constable and his child exploitation expert to give convincing reassurance of their attentiveness to and understanding of the issues. Like Keith Vaz and the select committee, I am left feeling the police need to get a grip.
However, that doesn’t mean the council are not also accountable. Social services are a leading safeguarding agency and usually the first point of contact for children in trouble, whether the victims go to them direct or the alarm is raised via others on the frontline. (As I hear it, community midwives have repeatedly gone to social services with concerns about the number of young girls pregnant with mixed-race babies but obviously not in relationships and have been ignored.) They are key to taking the victims seriously, providing support, putting in place prevention measures and raising public awareness. And yes, to passing on usable intelligence and evidence to the police. It was was clear form the Chief Constable’s comments that this wasn’t always done, though I suspect he was choosing his words carefully, knowing that Shaun Wright will most likely be his boss in a few weeks’ time.
I am delighted that the select committee are holding SYP’s feet to the fire on this and demanding further information about what action they are taking. We need similar interest from the select committee responsible for child safeguarding in local authorities and I’m going to be pressing for that.
This is a failure of partnership and the council can’t duck their responsibility anymore than the police can. If Shaun Wright was not in a position to have influence as the cabinet member leading on children’s services, then why does the role even exist and why is it being funded? The purpose, as I’ve always understood it from my experience working with multi-agency partnerships, is to lead and co-ordinate and to have oversight of the services being delivered. There is no wriggling out of that one.
Besides, if this is only the police’s fault, Mr Wright would have known that too. What did he do about it while deputy chairman of the Police Authority? He has had two significant roles providing opportunities to tackle this issue and appears to have achieved nothing. Are we really to believe things will change when he’s PCC?

    • Yeah, once he’s elected, as he surely will be, given the electoral stranglehold that Laybah have withinin their fiefdoms, then it will be payback time to Da Dodger for favours rendered, political patronage received, etc etc.

The Made-Man must render unto Caesar what is due to Caesar, n’est pas?

On Thursday afternoon I spent two hours listening to our South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner candidates give their reasons why one of them should be elected as Police and Crime Commissioner.

As a cynical, hard-bitten, very doubting voter and taxpayer who’s used to being lied to, obfuscated, ignored, overruled, not consulted, and constantly bitterly disappointed with the low level of service given by RMBC Corn Fed Grunters, Muppets and Clowns you can imagine just how at home I felt when I heard the dull, monotonous tones of loadza promises, no stones unturned, inputs, outputs, outcomes, partnerships, stakeholders, KPIs, BVIs, VFMs ad-vomitum that were delivered with the customary uninspiring performance delivered by Shaun Da Sheep.

Just exactly as forecast and predicted. Consistency at its very lowest, indeed.

And then came my moment of unexpected delight when Robert Teal, the Lib-Dem candidate, and a native of Barnsley gave his wonderful, totally unexpected delivery.

When asked about how the candidates would ensure that “the PCC would ensure that vested interests would not sway them or dictate to them”, Robert simply delighted me with this simple response: “If elected, I’ll blow the door off vested interests, because I simply have none. I’m not in hock to any political party or big business. You get me, the real deal, and I’ll serve you and not a vested interest”.

It was like feeling the first warm spring wind after the longest, coldest, hardest of winters.

Wow, this guy isn’t a fully-paid-up member of the Laybah political patronage machine like we have here in Rovrum which rewards acquiescence and silence with a junket here and there, or a Cabinet position here or there, or better still a well-paid seat in a member statutory authority like the Police Authority.

This guy seems like the real deal, a local businessman who knows how many eggs make six, and straight-as-a-die.

He’s in such contrast to anything I’ve seen or heard in politics before, and although I have no truck with the Lib-Dems, I’m tempted to give him the benefit of the doubt simply because I believe that he’ll not be turned, intimidated, bought or junketed by the incestuous and nepotistic political machine that dominates in my backyard.

Best of British, Robert, I hope you can pull it off.
You are a breath of very very fresh Barnsley Yorkshire air.

Sounds distinctly like privatisation to me
Back office perks as he says ,
Why not just say that everyone who is not a front line officer is on the make.
There are a great many back office workers who are invaluable to the force.
Any way Mr Teal your party is in bed with the right wing Tories so you are,
If you had anything about you ,you should have resighned and gone independent you may have got some credibility

Clearly you are in a better position to make an objective anylisis of who would make the better PCC as you were present at the husting event and saw at first hand all the candidates but I am a little surprised with you taking at face value Mr Teal’s statement ” I am not in hock with any political party”, correct me if Iam wrong but isnt he the LibDem candidate and the last time I looked they were a political party ( of sorts anyway).

    Just an observtion sir.

    • Hiya Jules, I do take onboard you comment and indeed your very pertinent observations.

But, with regard to Shaun Da Sheep I have the very uneasy feeling that somehow the payback will have to be made to Da Dodger and Da Rovrum Laybah Grooip.

Now I know you may not be aware of just how dire things are here in Rovrum, but trust me when I say that it’s an open secret among the Corn Fed Grunters, Muppets and Clowns, and the Rovrum Public, that he/she who keeps silent and/or acquiesces to Da Corpulent One will be well rewarded with junkets, Cabinet positions and appointments to outside agencies, eg SYPA.

As you are are evidently not one of Da Laybah Grooip you will have to rely on me for my information from my double-agents inside THT-Lubyanka who assure me that I’m bang on the money.

I will keep you posted on developments from my double-agents deep inside THT-Lubyanka.

  9. One of the things that bothers me about the PCC elections is that some candidates are promising what they cannot deliver, and some will not get elected so it doesn’t matter what they promise. Your support of Rober Teal is interesting Don, and he seems like a decent sort of a bloke.

What is concerning me is that the whole grooming thing is sliding down the order of importance in favour of things that happened a long time ago. Jimmy Savile for one and now the Miner’s Strike. For God’s sake, can’t somebody get a grip on this. We are talking about things that, if the new chief constable is to be believed is still going on. Sean Wright still sits there vacantly grinning, This stinking corrupt Labour controlled council still wobbles on from week to week, and there seems to be little opposition.

The Advertiser this week and last was more concerned with the rights and wrongs of the EDL and the UAF than the reason why they turned up in the first place. Local trades union leaders popping up all over the place, interviews with people evidently selected for their known opinions. The Great WhIte Hope Michael Sylvester with yet another syvcophantic letter about deprivation in Rotherham, but only briefly touching on the biggest scandal to hit this poor benighted borough since God knows when. 10. As each day goes by this sordid mess that is the child abuse scandal in Rotherham the more it stinks!

It says so much about the local media that journalists are now doing the bidding of local politicians evidenced by the Twitter exchange and publication of a letter making pejorative comments about anonymous bloggers trying to expose the years of abuse and inaction by the leading child protection agencies.

Why would anyone wish to stop the debate on child abuse in the Town?

What next for bloggers, threatened with legal action just because some individuals don`t like the message?

    What’s being hidden and why?
