  2. Today has been a sad, but well deserved, day for Denis MacShane, but has been a very satisfying day for me and all I can say is I told you so. This affair is not over with yet and Denis may have a lot more to come. However, I do feel sorry for those who listened to his supporters and were hoodwinked into voting for him. It would be nice to hear from his supporters on this matter now.

  3. Just watch how all his Labour supporters distance themselves from this obnoxious greedy pig. These supporters include all those Councillors who signed his Election Nomination Form, together with his agent Anna Chester and the Leader of the Council,Roger Stone who first introduced him to Rotherham. They have all let the people of Rotherham down.

  4. Blames the BNP on his website
This is all I am saying and I will not be adding anything or doing interviews
    Denis

“I am shocked and saddened that the BNP has won its 3 year campaign to destroy my political career as a Labour MP despite a full police investigation which decided not to proceed after investigations and interviews. I am glad the Committee notes that there is no question of personal gain. Clearly I deeply regret that the way I chose to be reimbursed for costs related to my work in Europe and in combating anti-semitism, including being the Prime Minister’s personal envoy, has been judged so harshly. I remain committed to work for progressive values, for Britain playing a full part in Europe, and for combating anti-semitism even though I can no longer undertake this work as a Labour MP. I am consulting family and friends as I consider my position and study the full implications of the report. I am obviously desperately sorry for any embarrassment I have caused my beloved Labour Party and its leader Ed Miliband whom I greatly admire.”

    • Shouldn’t he have been concentrating on looking after the people of Rotherham and what was happening in his own constituency rather than flying round Europe? If that was the case perhaps issues closer to home could have been avoided and he wouldn’t have got himself into this mess. Only himself to blame and the guy is supposed to be intelligent!

  5. It is refreshing to know that this corrupt man who has mislead the Rotherham electorate for over 20 years has now finally being publically humiliated for the totalitarian Labour party he is part of. The man who purported to represent the people did not, has not and now cannot let’s hope Macshane is not to dim to realise the people of Rotherham do not and will not have his sorts representing us. The sooner, more of the totalitarian mobsters and corn pecking rooters at Town Hall Towers get exposed for their inappropriate dealing the better Rotherham will be.

  7. How amazing!
Not a squeak on Twitter from any of the usual Labour suspects, not a word, the worst case the committee has investigated and Rotherham Labour clams up, just like they did in the recent child abuse scandal.
MacShane should go now, well done Peter Thirlwall you were on the money unlike the Rotherham Labour Party.
