There were two events last year that brought to our attention an organisation called Common Purpose.
The first was the selection of Sarah Champion, a Common Purpose Graduate, as the labour candidate and later winner of the Rotherham by-election. The other was the UKIP Fostering revelations, where Common Purpose views seem to have informed decision making.
Rotherham is also blessed to have at least one other graduate, in the shape of Mahroof Hussain, are there more? We should be told.
Common Purpose’s website is an attractive one, but devoid of any real substance or information about them. They are registered as a charity and the Charity Commission returns these registrations:
Registered Number | Charity name | |
---|---|---|
1056573 | COMMON PURPOSE INTERNATIONAL | Registered |
1023384-1 | COMMON PURPOSE UK | Linked charity |
801100 | THE COMMON PURPOSE CHARITABLE TRUST | Removed |
1023384 | THE COMMON PURPOSE CHARITABLE TRUST | Registered |
Readers should check them out.
Common Purpose also has many critics, principal among these, Common Purpose Exposed. Common Purpose Exposed has an altogether different view, I quote:
Common Purpose is a political charity using Behavioural Modification
“Common Purpose (CP) is a Charity, based in Great Britain, which creates ‘Future Leaders’ of society. CP selects individuals and ‘trains’ them to learn how society works, who ‘pulls the levers of power’ and how CP ‘graduates’ can use this knowledge to lead ‘Outside Authority’.
Children, teenagers and adults have their prejudices removed. Graduates are ‘empowered’ to become ‘Leaders’ and work in ‘partnership’ with other CP graduates. CP claims to have trained some 30,000 adult graduates in UK and changed the lives of some 80,000 people, including schoolchildren and young people.
But evidence shows that Common Purpose is rather more than a Charity ‘empowering’ people and communities’. In fact, CP is an elitest pro-EU political organisation helping to replace democracy in UK, and worldwide, with CP chosen ‘elite’ leaders. In truth, their hidden networks and political objectives are undermining and destroying our democratic society and are threatening ‘free will’ in adults, teenagers and children. Their work is funded by public money and big business, including international banks.”
There is much to read and study before a balanced view can be developed, Rothpol would be very interested in readers views and conclusions and all the usual routes are open and functioning for readers to give us their opinions.
Cult then!!

Councillors who have Common Purpose links would need to make an appropriate declaration in the Register of Interests. So would Council Officers especially if in the course of the duties they were involved in recruitment of Common Purpose graduates, the awarding of contracts or authorisation of payments to either Common Purpose itself of other CP graduates.

I notice Mahroof Hussain fails to make this declaration despite graduating from Common Purpose in 2005 whilst a Manager at REMA

According to the rules, council officers and elected members must make a Declaration and have it recorded

Common Purpose is a secretive and influential body. It is one of the anti nation organisations that indoctrinates its graduates with the mind set and values necessary for the european federal project to succeed. If you really need warning about the ultimate objectives of a ‘charity’ that intends to train leaders to operate outside their authority throughout the British establishment then your sensitivity to danger need to be seriously adjusted.
Essentially the aim is to ensure that the leaders of society are convinced of the inevtabilty of the post democratic era so that they operate, or are prepared to operate outside the limits of national laws or morality.
An example might be the signal failure of the police and social services to re act in a moral and lawful or indeed British way to the grooming in Rotherham. One might ask what sort of mentality might accept, excuse ignore and cover up the wicked crimes committed and not seem to see the acts themselves as particularly bad, or not be morally outraged. Is this behaviour influenced by common purpose?
Brian Gerrish on the UK Column alternative news outlet (online) has regular items on this subject and vids on you tube on common purpose. Its a view, if perhaps not an unrebutted one.

I believe ‘UKIP child snatcher’ Joyce Thacker who thinks child prostitution is a lifestyle choice is a Common Purpose graduate. ref: http://order-order.com/2012/11/24/progressive-culture-war-caused-rotheram-ukip-child-catcher/

I believe I have seen a link somewhere, either on this site or elsewhere, which leads to a list of alleged Common Purpose members – sorry I cannot find it now. Perhaps Mrs. Ridley or her colleagues know where it is and can cross-check the names thereon against persons known locally. There might be some merit in extending the analysis to Justices of the Peace and others involved in legal system.

Interesting! Never heard of this “graduate scheme” before. Hope it doesn’t cost £9,000 to enrol. On a serious note does anyone have any experience or more information about this?

You cannot simply enroll, you must be chosen and ‘invited’, much like freemasonry.

Was that an advertisement by Clegg? In their opening speech in the rose garden, after Cameron, Clegg actually mentioned Common Purpose ‘five’ times in as many minutes. They seem to use a form of ‘legalese’ to communicate?

They should not be under-estimated, for sure. Common Purpose is also single parent guardian of bastard love child Political Correctness. Listen to your own Joyce Thacker and the way she formulates herself. Not English as we know it but designed to sneak in while we´re not looking..

Common Purpose is one of the insidious NLP organisations imaginable. Founded by Julia Middleton in 1988 CP claims to provide ‘Leadership’. On that basis so did Genghis Khan, Hitler and Stalin. It’s a secret society for careerists. If you actually look at the documented evidence as to what Common Purpose is doing, they are clearly not just a training provider. They are
operating a highly political agenda, which is to create new chosen leaders in society.
Some of the courses cost as much as £5,750.
A Freedom of Information request by Conservative MP Philip Davies uncovered the fact that the Department for Work and Pensions had spent £238,000 sending its people on Common Purpose courses between 2002 and 2007. Its meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule, which means everything that is said in them is unattributable.
So much for democracy and transparency.
Joyce Thacker is a CP ‘Graduate’. Her speech patterns highlight complete disregard for us lesser mortals and that is how CP works. It is elitist, pro EU and it’s core beliefs show there is no room for dissent.
You have been warned.

I think the link between them is that their philosophies are all basically the same with and end goal of power to the few ! All Big Brother tactics.

Not the first time a CP troll has made an appearance on this site. Does illustrate that CP wants ‘graduates’ not for their intelligence, but the weakness and malleability of their minds, with their reward a career ladder based on their ability to destroy existing structures and institutions a la Lin Homer – still the ‘best’ example of CP in action.
Still, even by internet troll standards, this is pretty pathetic. (Normally, their trolls on here are more subtle and just use the comments sections to mine for information.)
And I am personally thrilled and delighted that so many of us here on RothPol appear to realise the dangers of CP. (If you don’t, come on catch up đŸ™‚

Thanks to Brian Garrish, I’m now becoming aware of these people. Which is how I stumbled into here, how exactly, do we deal with them? They are taking public money and nobody, it seems, can stop them?
I shall be enquiring of my council (Liverpool), to see if they are sending, or have any of these people on their pay-roll.

Frightening stuff, goes beyond what most of us recognise . So is this why certain people suddenly reach the top of the ladder..?
As most of us if we got a dressing down like MR Wright and Mrs Thacker, would have not sat so hard faced, maybe they thought they were above the home affairs committee.?

Apparently, this is more wide spread than we imagined. Common purpose runs through every facet of or community, from the top down, we need to spend a bit of time and go through our council leaders, to see who are and aren’t members, then out them!
This is an interesting video; ln.is/youtu.be/5jmf2 it names names, puts us in the ball park.
