  1. Isn’t the BNP candiadte the same person who was elected for Brinsworth and Catcliffe and then wouldn’t attend council meetings?

    • No, his name was John Gamble and he was expelled from the BNP and ended up in the NF so I hardly think he’d be standing for the BNP again after all that !!

  2. I’d vote Conservative if I could. The only party capable of puncturing this ridiculous Wright/Johnston dynasty which will kill Rotherham if we allow it. The Tories are and will continue to be a strong and robust opposition as well as being a sensible and credible alternative to the incumbent Labour infested council, who fail us time and again.

  3. Labour will win with a large majority despite what people might think. Lisa serves the people of Rotherham as a nurse so becoming a councillor will be another act of selfless service to those who will call on her for guidance and help.

    • So are we just ignoring the fact that her husband oversaw the child sex scandal that dragged Rotherham through the mud on a national level?? Labour have failed in Rotherham for many many years, its time for a real party of the working classes. Vote TUSC!

  4. TUSC Cllr Joe Robinson is doing great already since being elected last month in Maltby; plus, they remain active in the community, doing campaign stalls and holding a public meeting soon, instead of being elected & disappearing! Labour have failed us in Rotherham. The Lib Dems have no credibility since entering into coalition with the Tories. The BNP are racist & fascist scum (we all knew this anyway). Then you have your right wing nutters, the Tories and UKIP.

So who’s left? TUSC – the real alternative, the left-wing party standing up for the working classes 🙂 I’m hoping for another win.

  5. Omar Mehrban arent you in looney party at one stage know your becoming a tories.
I want to know one thing Omar can you please make your mind up, as it does not make no sense.
You write things against tories and today you write in support of tories.
It does not make any sense to me at all who you are sticking by.
Can you please state why you write things against tories and today your joining Tories, does that mean you got two personalities or you cant make your mindup.
Tommorow you will writing against TUSC and then you next you will be supporting them.

  6. Omar Mehrban is a great guy to work with, but he has one problem that does not add up, perhaps someone should tell Omar.
He must have broken the common wealth record, as changing more parties then anyone in Rotherham I think tories should give him a medal for doing so.
If not then Looney Party should give it lol.

  7. Annonymous,
Keep up! Yes I am a ‘Rainbow Warrior’ and have now joined the Conservative Party, the last switch I hope to make.
On your idea to give me a medal, the Loonies did offer me one, but due to times of austerity, I politely declined(!)
Shame you’re not brave enough to leave your real name, so I’d know who really thinks that I’m a ‘great person to work with’..

  8. I want to know it is your last switch.
So why did you make comments against tories and infavour of TUSC etc about a month ago, know your making switches does that mean you have gone against TUSC etc, as it does not make no sense to a person who admired the work of TUSC in the past, know he is going against them.
You need to make your mind up in one year, you changed more parties then the weather changes, soon you will be leaving conservatories, then who are you going to follow.
Your a good person I just dont know why you switching parties no wonder every party is rejecting you espicially Labour Party, also the Looney Party rejected you, soon it will be Conservative, I just hope everything goes well, what ever your doing, but make your decisions properly not join one party and stay for couple of weeks and then join another party.
if your going to keep doing that then I see all the membership of every party will be finished then where will you go as three parties have refused your membership soon Conservative will refuse your membership then who you going to be left with,

  9. He could become independant – ie. Not affiliated to any party.
It has been tried many times by Labour Party members with a quick reversal (without informing public ) when the political atmosphere suits 🙂

(Not suggesting Omar has done that )

  11. Rawmarsh is a working class area, and can only be represented by a working class party. The only working class party that exists as a real option, one that working and under-privileged people relate to, is one that historically was created for those people: Labour – created by working people for working people. Tories and Lib Dems – forget those millionaires who continue to help the exploiters and not the exploited. BNP are racist. UKIP merely cloud the picture of the failing economy by blaming groups and issues that are merely symptoms of the failing system. TUSC may be left, but they will merely divide the working people with no hope of representing any real numbers. Labour need to move leftwards, more than Ed is doing so far, but they have the power to introduce the socialist policies that working people need, and in time there will be a socialist element large enough to do this. Represent the Rawmarsh people – stick with Labour.

  12. Well said Dan Dan the Labour man Now please can you explain the following what your beloved Labour controlled council has done for Rotherham or Rawmarsh
1 ) Increased Rotherham council debt over the last 10 years from £169 Million in 2002 to £569 Million in 2012 A 336% INCRESE!
    2) From 2000 to 2012 Council Tax bill have gone up by 16.6%
    3) Privatisation of Council services Costing the Tax payer £10.7 Million a year over the next 20 years to Private Finance Companies.
While vital public services such as child protection have been dangerously inadequate and child Grooming been left to go unchecked
Labour are supporting the building of thousands of new homes on Rawmarsh / Greasbrough green belt plus other parts of the borough.
Now explain to me how the above has or is benifiting the people of Rawmarsh or the rest of Rotherham.
