The authorities in South Yorkshire have been criticised by MPs for their handling of child sexual exploitation.
Rotherham Council was described as “inexcusably slow”, while South Yorkshire Police was said to have “let down” victims of grooming.

Victims of child sexual exploitation and street grooming are still being failed, despite a series of high-profile trials, MPs have said.
The Home Affairs Committee said exploitation was an increasing “large-scale nationwide problem”.
