It must be close in Anston & Woodsetts?

Labour are really panicking now in Anston tonight they have teams going house to house.
Sir Nutkins Baron is there and the illustrious deputy leader of Rotherham council Akhtar.
Seeing them in action brought back a song from my younger days from a television programme. “here they come walking down the street get the funniest looks from everyone they meet, hey hey they’re the monkeys.”
I expect Dinnington to be next because Jacquie Falvey the Labour candidate for Dinnington is also with them.
It would seem that we have finally frightened these people into having to do some good old fashioned campaigning, can’t help feeling it is too little too late.

  2. Labour will retain the majority of its current wards, UKIP in particular seem to be shooting themselves in the foot with outlandish claims of RMBC spending.
Had they taken the time to fact check their statements and manage certain UKIP candidates flyers they may have had a better result.
After 22nd May UKIP in Rotherham needs to stand back and ask why Labour managed to plant so many good news stories in the local paper with days to go before the vote?
They also need to take a look at how postal voting influenced the local outcome, one suggestion could be to ask those in charge to audit postal voting in Rotherham.
Why would Barron be out with stab you in the back (a political phrase) Akhtar when we all know in Rotherham that Akhtar is supporting the blog that has posted anti-Barron, Ellis and Hoddinott comments?

    • What good news stories are there in Rotherham. The Town centre is a disgrace, there is urban decay all over the rest of the borough. There is still a big stench from the grooming of white girls, this and many other things is encouraging the EDL to keep coming back.

Akhtar having to do it all Rotherham West to be re elected then other wards to ensure support for the leadership he is not running round like he used to like a prize peacock this election he is fighting 2 fronts with very little support word I’d Labour in house have had enough of him hence very little support plus every one is now wise to his tricks

    • Like AKhTAR said ‘Hes fixed the Advertiser’. I for one would like to see his election expenses sheet with all the flyers he’s been sending out. And how much public money did he use on the UKIP hope not hate and other ANTI UKIP leaflets he’s distributed around Richmond Park.
The piece today in the Advertiser about UKIP Candidate Brian Cutts, misrepresentation about figures, but where as this money gone? ?? Akhtar abet he was the leaker about this cause he was tweeting about it earlier on in the day.
      Akhtar self centred bully….

      • No public money is used for the production and distribution of Hope not Hate leaflets. HnH is funded via donations from its supporters.

  4. Labour is running scared in Anston. Do you honestly think Sir Kev would leave his palatial pad to work with a convicted thug to drum up support for a despised Labour councillor unless they were 100% sure of victory?
When was the last time sir Kev walked round Anston on behalf of his party?

  5. Labour pressing the panic button. Those confirmed today walking around Anston were, Barron, Burton, Akhtar, Ahmed, Sims, Falvey, Rushforth, Beaumont and Godfrey. With the exception of Burton, have any of these people ever stepped in to Anston Before ?. I don’t recall ever seeing our MP in Anston for years. Hear is an interesting observation, where were all the Local Labour Party Parish Cllrs, again not one seen out backing Burton, have they imploded. I take it that they will all have to run to Dinnington on Monday, and then, under a clever plan, visit Cllr Akhtars area JUST before Election Day.
The people of Anston are not stupid, when they get people on the doorstep, who they have never seen before, asking for their votes, They know they wont see them for another four years.
How many times has Burton knocked on your door over the last Eight years, You only see her when she wants your vote.

  6. I am sure that I saw Jo Burton stood in Dave Smiths place in Dinnington, it’s the wrong place for her to get votes. I think Barron is probably frightened that if they lose Anston the borough will slip away. Last time I saw Barron he nearly ran over me in his 4x 4.

  7. You are right about Burton standing in my place I think she has lost the plot because I was stood there as well. She took it on herself to shadow me while I was handing out leaflets, why would you vote for a councillor who doesn’t know when she is in Dinnington or Anston.
