Threatening Behaviour in Dinnington!

Tonight whilst quietly enjoying my tea there came an urgent pounding on my door, my wife duly answered.
It was some one asking for me, he introduced himself as the brother of Jacuie Falvey the deposed Labour councillor for Dinnington, and her sister Jane Havenhand.
He threatened me with dire physical consequences if I did not stop criticising these two.
After several rants about how good a councillor his sister Jacquie was and how she had helped Jade to come to Dinnington, and some more threats of violence he was sent scurrying along his way by my chief minder; my wife.
It would seem that it is my fault that Falvey lost her position not that she was rubbish at her job.
I am now monitoring very closely the cctv to make sure that it wasn’t Jacquie Falvey wearing mens clothes and a bald wig.
I will keep you informed should this prove to be the case, the only down side to this is that my wife will now monitor my movements more closely.

That would explain this comment from Skegster, Falvey’s brother by any chance?

“Dave Smith. Well done on your quest to bring Jacquie Falvey down. Your persistence has paid off. You got what you wanted.

Let’s hope the newly elected member can step up to the plate and serve the people of dinnington with the same passion as Jacquie.

Contrary to the crap you’ve been peddling about her and Councillor Havenhand, I know she has fought very hard for the area and went way beyond her duty, to help make Dinnington a better place for all.

Although you haven’t met me, you seem to be acting all knowledgeable about me – and the project I founded ‘JADE’. (Please do not place full stops between each letter i.e J.A.D.E – as this offends me more than the drivel I’ve seen you post on here). 15 years of hard work, by local people, with a passion for change, has been put into JADE and I personally think the evidence of change in Kiveton Park, makes it perfect to help try and address the vast problems evident in Dinnington. If you know anyone better placed to make an impact in dinno then please let me know.

I suggest you come and meet us – and actually learn about what you chose to speak about pubicly. It’s people like you, with lazy judgments – and second hand knowledge, that cause more damage in areas, than the people who work their arse off – and get scrutinised to f*** by the arm chair politicians like yourself – but never praised.

Oh, and while I’m here, stop telling lies about me at meetings, when your facts are wrong and you have never even met me. I’m sure you wouldn’t like me bad mouthing you, would you? Mr Independent?”

  1. May the force be with you Dave! I can see why they are angry as some of the councilors booted out would struggle finding a job at McDonalds.

  2. Well I thought that this was only within my community( Asian) that some people took exception and used such sick behaviour. It seem that it runs through the local Labour Party. As above May the force be with you Dave! Surely these angry and violent councillors can get and do jobs……….as cleaners may be McDonalds

  3. This is ‘Old Labour’ behaviour that belongs in the past! Ms Falvey and the labour party, seem unable to accept the simple fact, in a democracy, the voter is the powerful one, those elected are supposed to serve us and not themselves.

The voter has spoken, time for Jacquie, Jayne and their disgraceful brother, to learn the lesson above and I hope they are thoroughly ashamed of themselves, they certainly should be!!

  4. This is beyond a disgrace. You carry on doing what you’re doing, Dave; funnily enough, I don’t think you forced over a 1000 people to put a cross next to Ian Finnie’s name!

  5. You know full well who I am Dave. Don’t give a shit about politics and I have no political agenda – but you need to get your facts right before spouting about me in a public meeting.

Oh and I’m not the person who made your tea go cold, sorry to disappoint you haha

  6. I know who you are SKegster and I stand by everything I said about J.A.D.E the people who should and could make a difference with the youngsters in Dinnington were the three council youth workers who were sacked by telephone. I don’t tell lies nor do I use second hand Knowledge I have your balance sheet and your Charity Commission status. These people were part of the workforce, over a thousand, sacked by your mother in law and Jacquie Falvey and the rest of the Labour councillors who voted unanimously for the cuts. The only thing her drunken “brother” could point to when asked what wonderful stuff councillor Falvey had done for Dinnington was she had brought J.A.D.E to Dinnington. Don’t look to me to take the blame for her losing the election look to her and the rest the Labour councillors in Dinnington. And as a citizen of Dinnington I reserve my democratic right to question decision made by our councillors, that is why I have a freedom of information request into the Borough council about the negotiations with J.A.D.E just another dance event hence the full stops. Like the author of this blogg I will not be deflected from what I believe is right so you can tell mummy in law I will see her next May. But if she runs true to form I and the rest of the Dinnington electorate will only see her at the count. Don’t bother replying to me Skegster because as far as I am concerned the matter ends here.

  7. Why do Labour supporters turn gangster when the electorate no longer believes anything Labour councillors do or say and votes for another candidate?
Just to remind Skegster; We live in the 21st century and voting Labour is not compulsory (yet)

  8. First threats from the so called “brother”, then threats from her son -in -law. how very democratic.
I would be asking very serious questions if one of my Trustees of a Children`s Charity was using words like shit, arse and F*** on social media. what kind of message is being sent to our youngsters.

  9. Please accept my apologies Dave. It was not my intention to upset you or cause any concern. I came to speak to you about politics. I wanted to understand why a socialist would want Labour out of our council. I’m sorry I didn’t get this across. If my sisters had known I was coming to speak to you they would have discouraged me. They had no idea so apologies to them too.

    • This is an apology of an apology. You had no intention of coming to my house for a civilised discussion, when my wife answered the door to you she invited you in and you said, “with what I have got to say you won’t want me in your house. You then went on to threaten me and insult my wife. If you intend to apologise you have to first of all admit what you did not pretend that you did some thing else. You also stated you did not give a shit about politics now you are trying to tell me you came for a political discussion, if you see threats and insults as a discussion you have serious problems. Until you are capable of telling the truth about your uninvited visit to my home your apology of an apology is well and truly rejected.

    • It might be because Labour are no longer a socialist party – they follow the Market Economic route with as much passion as any Thatcherite. Just one eg During by-election campaign Sarah Champion said she would get people onto the lowest tariffs energy companies were kind enough to offer (#sarcasm). She never mentioned introducing legislation to lower the actual tariffs themselves, restricting their profits or renationalising these utilities – as any true Socialist might consider

  10. I have been made aware of this post and feel I need to respond.

I am sorry for my brother’s actions and any upset that this has caused. I, nor my sister Cllr Havenhand, were aware of his intention. If we’d had prior knowledge we would have done everything we could to persuade him against it. However, I am not my brother’s keeper, and as an adult he takes his own counsel, something which I cannot be held responsible for.

I do not blame Mr Smith for my recent election defeat. Like him, I made my case to the people of Dinnington ward but they chose someone else this year. I am obviously disappointed but believe in democracy and therefore, accept its outcome. It was an honour and a privilege to represent the people of Dinnington ward over the last 7 years and hope that I have made a positive contribution.

I always treat others with respect and took my recent defeat on the chin, congratulating Cllr Finnie at the count and wishing him luck. I would have done the same if Mr Smith had been elected. I have not, nor would I wish, to behave in a way that is considered intimidating to anyone.

Once again I am very sorry for what has happened.

  11. Perhaps Jacquie you would like to make it clear to whom you are apologising, it was myself and my wife who were threatened and insulted; perhaps you would like to make that clear.

  12. It was a simple sincere apology. We live in a civilised society (the last time I looked). It’s your choice to accept or refuse. I respect your refusal because you were obviously offended. However, I would be magnanimous enough to let it go if I was in the same position. I really struggle to understand your venomous response and your continued abuse of people who want to serve our community.

    • Must say you really take the biscuit!

Firstly you behaved in the most outrageous of fashions on Dave Smith’s doorstep, you were behaving aggressively and insulted both Dave and his wife.

Only once exposed, do you issue a wet lettuce of an apology and you think that is sufficient! Quite incredible!

Rothpol stands ready to publish, a proper apology, acknowledging your offence, to Dave and his wife for their upset and hurt feelings.

Then I would advise you, to cross your fingers, and hope that will be the end of it!?

  13. You turn up at my door drunk and you threaten me and insult my wife and expect that I will just accept your pathetic attempt at an apology. And you call my reasoned response venomous and abusive, your sister supposedly apologises but to no one in particular. I suggest you both look up the word apology in the Oxford dictionary it says “regretful acknowledgement of fault or failure” you have done neither. So I say again until you tell the truth about what your intentions were then I will not accept your apology. I have given you ample opportunity to do this now I am considering my options on what do next with the photographic and closed circuit television evidence that I have.

  15. It wasn’t long ago members of the local Labour elite got a voter 6 months in prison for nothing more than writing threatening letters after they failed to help him with nuisance neighbours. My advice is go to the police. This is a prime example of how these people have operated in the past. They hold the electorate, opposition and anyone who stands in the way of ‘business as usual’ with utter contempt. Well those days are gone and the these people had better get used to it.

  16. Nice to see Mrs Falvey on RothPol, Pity she did not feel able to comment on issues whilst a serving RMBC Cllr. It proves the point that RMBC Cllrs are banned from making comments. Who do these people represent, The Party or the Public, not even worth an answer.
