  1. Vakas Hussains uncle Cllr Showkat Ali already suspended and why hasnt his uncle Mahroof Hussain not suspended yet.
    When will he get suspended?
Why havent Vakas Hussain relatives who are groomers not charged yet.
Why in 2010 Joyce Thaker gave statement that 28 people were to be charged and only 5 were charged.
The rest 23 not charged some of them were related to these councillors.

  2. i find the suggestion that is turning into almost ‘a demand ‘, that coucillors that went on a training session re CSE should on bloc resign- quite bewildering in its claim.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over what a training session is about and what professional people under the law should have done. Of course all individuals with a responsible role in an elected or selected official role, have a duty to comply with all legal requirements covering -reporting of illegalities etc. But there is a massive difference between the role of councillors being brought up to date through a training session on matters to do with CSE and their legal duty.

But as i have outlined before whilst you have a hierarchial structure in political organisations and all other public and private organisations were most decisions are made by senior people in elected and selected postions of authority-then the lower order of councillors or lower level managers/supervisors who under whip of a said party/or instruction froma a top tier director or manger listen to the great and good -all lower tiers have to listen to so called professional experience from the specialsits in an area- whether it be the legal requirements to do with elderely -disabled or children_ are what the legal rules they have to adhere to.

.Councillors are not experts and the training was about bringing them up to date on what the CSE issue was about -but we do not know if it was about the specifics of the extent of what was going on in rotherham, or their legal duty or even on the duty allowed to a whistle blower-though you will not get this in a political aprty make-up due to the use of the whip and to keep every thing inhouse etc. We need alegal gframework that protects whistkle blowers.

Yes you can demand that we change the whole subserviant system of the whip that political parties use to ensure taht all councillors fall in line from the top tiers perception and action (and that is one of the main faults of our so called party politics system) as the local our national politician is no longer laid by conscience or what the local electorate may seek from the individual constituency MP.

We can all jump on this wircth hunt wagon but the rael issue you can accuse all the councillors of was, and is, ineptitude and fear: to stand up on an issue for their conscience sake, and not to hold onto an egotistical status of ‘local boy our girl’ made good in holding onto their self serving councillor role.

You can also acclaim that we have not got enough good peolple with a conscience. But not this witch hunt because a group went on a training session about an issue -that they probably did not know enough about -even after training -nor whether the training -identified their legal duty over the vulnerable that they were/are responsible for.but not a witch hunt on bloc-like a hanging brigade -which usually ends up hanging a decent personality -who actually was and is in politics for the greater good.

I take your point about councillors attending the 2005 seminar but if you are a councillor and get an invitation to attend a meeting on CSE out of the blue why would’nt you suspect something was amiss? Why did the question on CSE suddenly appear on the agenda after this was raised in 2002? A three year gap and nothing was done or reported (As far as we know there is no paper trail) You may be right that specifics were probably not mentioned but what kind of a person attends a seminar about a subject he/she knows nothing about and does’nt ask questions?
    Why? Who? When? What?
Why is this relevant? Who raised the issue? When did this first come to the notice of whoever is in charge? What actions are being taken?
It appears from the evidence so far that from 2002/2003 till 2012 our council leaders and councillors were so laid back about CSE they were nearly horizontal.
To repeat the question posed by Dave Smith yesterday; How did RMBC manage to keep the lid on this for nine years?

  5. Jan Ash this was no training session it was a report to councillors by Risky Business, only thirty turned up to hear it, this is what they heard. “13-44 the presentation was unambiguous about the nature and extent of the problem. They included the following information:
    a) a description of CSE in Rotherham and its impact on children as young as 12:
    b) the scale of the problem:
    c) the exercise of control through drugs, rape and physical force. In Rotherham 55% of such children had used heroin at least once a week; 40% had been raped; 73% had sexual health problems: 33% had attempted suicide, most had self harmed and
    d) the section on perpetrators mentioned an Asian family involved with taxi firms, and identified 50 people, 45 of whom were Asian, 4 were white and one African Caribbean.

    13-45 attendees were provided with background information listing the known addresses of alleged activity, including hotels and takeaways in Rotherham. It also included taxi companies alleged to be involved, and three case studies of three girls.” The report goes on to say;
” The explicit content meant by 2005 few members or senior officers could say we didn’t know.”

Some training session don’t you think if, as Wyatt said to me last week, that they had been asked to keep quiet because of police activity. Would you wait nine years to see whether the police did anything? I am damn sure I wouldn’t and I know the rest of you wouldn’t. Not saying anything made these people think they were fire proof and so have carried on in their despicable ways. I would say we have right to demanded the councillors resignation don’t you.
