The people of Dinnington should start asking questions

Here are the minutes from a meeting of Cabinet Member for Children and Young Peoples services in July 2008.

Councillor S Wright (in the chair) Councillors Falvey Havenhand and Tweed. Third item down on front page is about an annual report on the protection of young people in Rotherham from sexual exploitation.

So we have the three Dinnington Borough/town councillors at meeting where sexual exploitation of children and young people was discussed.

Not one of them felt it necessary to bring this to the public attention they sat on it for six long years.

Falvey and Havenhand are involved with a children’s charity. Keep watching because there is a lot more to come.

  1. DON’T FORGET that JO BURTON was VICE CHAIR.Safeguarding Childrens Board.
Do we really want this woman – who says she knew nothing about it – representing us at Borough and Parish level.
People of Anston take note and remember this when you vote in May 2015

  2. The People of Anston should start asking questions also: Following last night’s Meeting at Anston Parish Council it would appear the majority are more interested in dog bins, a bench and mole hills.
    WHAT ABOUT THE ABUSED CHILDREN?
Don’t forget Burton said “If what happened in Rotherham and it helps other towns and cities – it will have been worth it.
SO THAT IS JO BURTON’S RESPONSE TO CRIMES AGAINST VULNERABLE CHILDREN-
Doesn’t that just sum up Jo Burton the Vice Chair of the Childrens Safeguarding Board in post during the time these dreadful crimes were being carried out.
