  1. In our neck of woods the inaction is similar, but at least they’ve hassle the slime in other ways. They got a few convictions, close down some of these fast food places, removed their taxi licenses even placed abduction orders upon them. Better than nothing but at least the attempt at something, unlike the crew in Rotherham. Tell you what, even the Pakistani women don’t trust these scum, there all driving around in cars, never see them walking on the streets and it’s mainly Pakistani area.

  2. If those in charge of policing our laws, act on the wrong side of the law, what is the point of any one of us obeying such laws?

To bring this to a satisfactory conclusion, we need all senior and ex-senior serving police officers within South Yorkshire rounded up, arrested and sent through Courts away from the Yorkshire area, to find out exactly what they have refused to do over the last 20 or 30 years, and to make them pay for any infringement of the law.

Then they need to be replaced with actual police officers, who will police according to the laws by which the rest of us are expected to abide.

Which politician will act to produce such change? Obviously not Denis McShane (well, obviously not) Nick Clegg, John Healey, Ed Miliband, David Cameron…etc

  3. Rotherham child abuse was raised ‘at highest level’

Child abuse in Rotherham was raised “at the highest level” as far back as 2002 but officials apparently pressured a researcher to change her report.

The then chief constable Mike Hedges and the council’s director of education Di Billups were among those said to have been warned by the researcher.

The researcher told the committee: “During my final months at Rotherham, I was subjected to intense personal hostility and intimidation, not just from the council, but also South Yorkshire Police.

“There is no doubt in my mind that I was placed under pressure to change and present my findings in a way that presented services in Rotherham in a better light

  4. My opinion is that the reason why arrests are slow in coming is because the SYP have a problem.
Those who they wish to arrest have a hold on the SYP because it is obvious , even to those in the Home Affairs Select Committee, that there were officers based in Rotherham that were corrupt and complicit in the abuse.
This is of course, my personal opinion, but one doesn’t have to be a brain surgeon to make 2 plus two equal four.
The South Yorkshire Police are discredited – everything that they have been involved with has resulted in complaints and derision. It is obvious from the top , through middle management to street officers, that there are serious attitudinal and strategic problems in this police force.
The South Yorkshire Police need to be disbanded and replaced – it is little use cutting the fingernails when the body is riddled with disease.

    • Yet Ukip are putting an ex-SYP cop up as their candidate for PCC. They’ll try and have us believe that this one is a straight one! And that ‘he knew nothing’ Yeah, right!

  5. Was he a superintendent or something because if not then he would have no experience in dealing with an large organisation like SYP. Shows the depth of talent that UKIP has they have to dig out an retired former copper from the same discredit organisation that nobody trusts. He might be for the people as they cliams, but does anyone want the village idiot .
