Police chiefs to meet author of report on council’s failure to tackle child sexual exploitation in Rotherham
South Yorkshire police chiefs have vowed to meet the author of a scathing report on Rotherham Council’s failure to tackle child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.
Louise Casey, tasked by the Government with examining how and why Rotherham Council failed to tackle the issue, has now suggested that South Yorkshire Police should face the same level of scrutiny.
Her inspection of the council painted a picture of a local authority in denial about how more than 1,400 children had been subjected to rape, violence and trafficking by gangs of mainly Asian men.
The Advertiser published this today:
Start sacking the cops who knew and did nothing and take away their pensions. These sods are no better then the savages doing the raping!

Regarding the second article:
“A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Some of these will be criminal investigations but others will be reviewed and it will be found no crime has taken place and therefore a criminal investigation will not take place.”
It WILL be found no crime has taken place and therefore no criminal investigation will take place? How is it possible to find that no crime has taken place unless you have carried out an investigation? What message does that send to the victims?

… and add to that that the data is reported to the end of last month. I cant help feeling that we are seeing a police force that is still in total denial. (Just as RMBC was in Louise Casey’s eyes. )
