Keeping Up with UKIP

50,000? 30,000? Nothing? Ukip changes immigration target twice and then drops it altogether in 24 hours
Suzanne Evans, the party’s vice chairman, said that there would be no immigration target when the manifesto is formally published in a fortnight’s time.

    • fiferalfa,
If you were to add a few “full stops” to your post, it might be possible for me to make some sense out of it..

      • We can do without criticising each others use of the English language.
The meaning of the comment is what is important, not the perfection of the language or punctuation used.

      • I understood the post …. and I think most people do . I think RR I have asked you before .. Why the obsession with spelling and grammar ? Does it give you a feeling of Self-righteousness ? It is not really a good trait in a human being…. It suggests that you think of yourself (and your opinions) higher than others . Try this … “I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid. Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtsy, it deosn’t mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh, and I awlyas thuhogt slpeling was ipmorantt.” you see you do not need correct spelling the brain is a Marvellous thing … Sorry for straying off subject.

  2. ha ha nearly fell of my chair with the notion that Farage -who is as cunning and wily as most other political leaders at telling lies and using deception with his turnaround poltical pronouncements on adaily basis.. ‘At least with UKIP NHS will be free at the point of delivery you claim!!!! -Is that with the NHS being run on a USA insurance basis-meaning that only those that can afford insurance – will get health care-or is it with his 31p rise in basic taxation-for all -rich and poor-meaning that poor will pay a greater amount out of a smaller income and the rich will have a 9pence reduction in taxation. Let me know’ fiferafla’ when you take off your rose tinted glass’s and i can stop my belly laughs-as my stomach is aching at moment.

  3. The last I heard was that UKIP weren’t releasing their manifesto till a week or ten days before the election? They don’t need to go to too much trouble, most of their supporters are voting for them on two counts:immigration and the EU.None of the other parties seem to have twigged that.I hope WE don’t have to pay for their stupidity.

    • I’ve got news for you. Here in Rotherham WE are already paying for their stupidity.

The cost of a failed council, the cost of a scandal that is not yet fully unravelled, the cost of constant poor use of public money and the cost of having to pay for Commissioners to take the place of an inept council.

I only hope UKIP can do better. They certainly can’t do any worse than Labour.

  4. So if voting for UKIP at a national level will give us a Tory government, presumably you are suggesting not voting for UKIP will give us a Labour government?

So what we would end up with will be a repeat of the spend spend spend culture that almost bankrupt us? And how many wars will Mr Milliband drag us into like Mr Blair. Or how many more people will be invited to overload our welfare and health systems with a Labour open door immigration policy? How many jobs will be lost because Labour wants to punish businesses for being successful? How many more Rotherhams will we have?

    Err no thanks

    • The culture that almost bankrupted us was the American banks.A Tory government going into the first Gulf War was what led to the second one.The Falkland War was caused by the cut, cut, cut culture of a Tory government.Labour wants to punish business by making them pay the tax they owe,and pay their workers fairly.Who introduced the minimum wage?Tory ministers with their own businesses paid workers £2 an hour during the Thatcher era.How many foreigners came into Britain through Labour’s open door are actually employed in the NHS?And in case you haven’t noticed,Tony Blair’s been gone for 8years.I’m not trying to defend the local council,I agreed,in print, with Alan Cowles when he called for the entire council to be swept out.And no,I’m not suggesting not voting for UKIP will give us a Labour government. If you want a referendum on Europe and a British immigration policy, you can vote for the real Conservatives, and not the regurgitated ones.Err,not me,thanks.
