Labour’s Collective Amnesia?

Some commenters have already alluded to the fact Labour appear in total denial of their collective role, in what has become known as, the Rotherham Child Sexual Exploitation scandal.

Quite typical of the attitude being pedalled  at the time was this posting on a blog called rothbradpolitics, the brainchild of Jahangir Akhtar.

Remember when we were told, CSE was a myth?

 

Since then we have had the Jay Report, the Casey Report and Pickles has sent Commissioners in to run the Council, because the party in continuous control of Rotherham, Labour, were found to be running a ‘not fit for purpose’ Council, that was failing in pretty much everything they were doing!

One would have thought then, these momentous events would have made it, to some of their election materials, together with an apology for Labour’s collective failure?

Not a bit of it! A review of election materials so far viewed, two out of three Labour Candidates for parliament have failed to mention CSE and twenty, out of twenty two Borough Council Candidates also fail to mention CSE or offer an apology!

Are Labour suffering some form of collective amnesia, and are deluded into thinking the voters may not notice their ommissions?

Or are we to conclude, Labour is trying to win votes, by means of a massive deception?

The voters are far mor sophisicated, than the Labour Party Candidates have given them credit for, that alone marks the current Candidates, as unsuitable for the Rotherham of the Twenty First Century!

Sarah Champion, is the only parliamentary Labour Candidate, to adequately respond to the circumstances, but may still suffer a voter backlash by association.

Both Kevin Barron and John Healey have failed in their duties towards Rotherham’s citizens and are , no doubt, being pushed hard by UKIP in both their seats.

The local government labour panel of candidate inspire little confidence, containing as it does, those pre-programmed Biraderist controlled candidates, the followers of the disgraced Naz Ahmed, Jahangir Akhtar, Mahroof Hussain, Shaukat Ali and Shabana Ahmed.

Labour’s poor due-diligence, leaves one with little confidence in any of Labour’s candidates for the Council in next months elections?

In short, Labour will pay a heavy price for their choices come May!
