The commissioners role:

“Rotherham Borough Council is managed by a team of five Commissioners, appointed by the Government in February 2015 after a number of reports highlighted serious failings across the authority*. In this area you will find key information about their role and how they will work to deliver services to local people.”

  1. Can yo pleas remove my web address (The rising tide) from off this site I seem not to be able to do it this end and I entered it in error. It is a small thing. I have few views there and I do not appreciate threats from “regular reader” The site is managed by my niece in Carolina and she can do without this nonsense.

  2. The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, . . . may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny. . . . “Were the power of judging joined with the legislative, the life and liberty of the subject would be exposed to arbitrary control, for the judge would then be the legislator. . . .”

  3. by what I am hearing about how much these unelected commissioners are getting paid (Up to £900 a day- local Councillors do over claim on expenses, but nothing on this scale. ), wouldn’t it be better for that money go to support the girls/ young women who have been the victims in all of this.
