Mum of alleged schoolgirl rape victim weeps as she gives evidence before jury
THE mum of an alleged rape victim wept as she gave evidence at the trial of the men accused of abusing her.
She told a jury at Bradford Crown Court yesterday that she found bits of paper in her daughter’s bedroom “with Asian names on” and had heard “Asian voices” when the teenager accidentally phoned her once.
The court also heard that the teenager had told her mum that there was no way out of the situation she was in.
The mum, who cannot be named for legal reason, also alleged that her daughter said she was involved in something she could not talk about, adding: “She said they said they were going to pop our windows and firebomb the house. They told her they knew all our family.”
