Pan Macmillan has acquired an autobiography by Jayne Senior, who worked with victims of sex abuse in Rotherham and who became a whistleblower for The Times.
For 14 years, Senior tried to help girls from Rotherham who had been groomed, raped, tortured, pimped and threatened with violence by sex traffickers.
As the manager of Risky Business, which was set up to work with vulnerable teens, she kept notes and details of the perpetrators, and passed information on to the police and local authorities. After losing hope that the authorities would take action against the gangs she had identified as the abusers, she became a whistleblower for The Times investigative reporter Andrew Norfolk.
In her memoir, called Cover Up, Senior “describes a life spent working to protect Rotherham’s girls, the pressure put on her by the authorities to stop rocking the boat, and why she risked prison in the hope that she could help end the appalling child exploitation in that town”.

I spoke to jayne last week she said she has revealed those that knew and what they knew but the name of the book has now been changed to broken and betrayed , sadly there are a couple of people she cannot mention legally yet !! , happy new year to everyone

And this is just the sort of thing that is aided by the Freedom of Information Act – the very same legislation that the Tories are trying to abolish.

I bet she will not be a labour candidate as the cllrs will hopefully be shaking like sh*ting dogs.
Lets hope they are exposed for covering up and failing to protect young children and families.

We never did find out who broke in to the offices of Risky Business and removed all the files. I wonder why ? Is there still a cover up going on ?. Somebody knows, there were only a few people who had access, and or keys. If this was solved, then it would open the flood gates to who knew what.

The guilty people have got away with it for a long time. They walk amongst us and drive taxis in Rotherham everyday. The ones on trial now are only the tip of the iceberg. The victims will never get justice until all their abusers are brought before the courts and given the punishment they deserve. Let’s hope the NCA can flush more of these scum out into the open.

I really hope Jayne is on the list of prospective candidates. Although MP material.
we need someone of her calibre, qualities and integrity that stood up for the CSE Victims rather than looked the other way or covered up.
She woould be an excellent advocate for Labour and feel would be very welcome for our Wath ward.

There’s one obvious question here for Sarah Champion, is Jayne Senior still working for her and wouldn’t she have informed Champion about the contents of this book. If so, wouldn’t Champion have realised how damaging its going to be for the Labour Rothertham Party, Rotherham Labour Council, Labour Councillors, certain Pakistani Labour councillors and associates, which in turn would implicate her, dismissing the myth that she didn’t know anything, proir to Jay report.
The line she’s been using so far has been, nobody, alsolutely nobody in Local Governement, Rotherham Labour Party, Social Services, her own constituentcy party, NEC, even Andrew Norfolk articles, said to her anything about what was happening in Rotherham about CSE and the Pakistani connection. Now if we lived in a totalitarian state like North Korean, I could beleive that , not in Rotherham though.

Find it hard to beleive that MPs who have to liaise with the police and Cllrs were not briefed or tipped off over Cse over the years.
Or from 2004 when cllrs attended seminars about it. If they failed to communicate it then it was a dereliction of duties.
Surely they spoke about it regular and asked for updates on such a serious topic?
if not why not.
When the custard cremes have run out it soon gets round the town hall tea room.

Remember Champions 06/02/15 interview with Andrew Neil, where she is defending Akhtar, but slagging off Stone & Wright for not apologising, how things come back to haunt people, especially a slimeball MP.

Of course councillors knew of it. An ex Mayors wife worked in children’s services and children’s homes. You’re not telling me that they never discussed some of these issues

If you believe any of these people claims they didn’t know, just watch Kimbles and Thacker’s stories to the House of Commons committees investigation, it’s hilarious. When Kimble is asked how much it cost to hire these lawyers to stop the story in the times, suddenly can’t remember and his the chief exec. He also didn’t know that Thacker was in charge of Risky Business before becoming head of children services. Thackers pathefic excuses about protecting the indentty of a dead family, she knew there was 600 victims, but it wasn’t serious enough to warrant a more robust response. How she keeps blaming the Police and S Wright.
And she still had the gull to claim she was doing a good job.
