This cancer in our communities: Muslim leaders join outcry over Asian grooming gangs

MUSLIM leaders have joined calls for Yorkshire communities to unite together to rid themselves of the “cancer” of grooming gangs after 12 Asian men were jailed for a total of 130 years for sexually exploiting a vulnerable teenager.

Kris Hopkins, Conservative MP for Keighley, spoke out after a gang of 12 men who sexually exploited a vulnerable teenage schoolgirl in the town for their own “selfish, sexual gratification” were jailed for a total of 130 years.

  1. Haven’t we heard all this before, these so called Muslim leaders, pretending they give a damn. The authorities , setting up multi-Agency hubs etc. The Police won’t breakdown the offending stats, by area, another MP, claiming he’s been Speaking to these same people for over three years and nothing has happen, only to realise, what his predecessor had said was true, the Pakistani community, doesn’t give a damn.

Roll on the next case of a vunerable little White girl, being raped by a hoarde of sex starved Muslims, more outrage, more money, more Police activity etc etc etc. Then we find out, another. Child being raped in another town.

  2. What’s very odd about the YP’s “Muslim leaders join outcry over Asian grooming gangs” story, is that there is nothing about “Muslim leaders” in the body text of the article. It is just something put there by a sub-ed.

It’s little more than a puff-piece for the local MP,

    • Might be a puff piece for the MP, but for the child who suffered at the hands of these beasts, it’s life changing. Time for someone, in that community to tell the truth about what’s going and what there so called elders have allow to happen.

    • Depends RR on whether Councillor Abid Hussain is considered a “Muslim leader” or not. Near the bottom of the piece it states :

Councillor Abid Hussain, the deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford and a district councillor for Keighley Central, praised the police investigation and supported much of what Mr Hopkins said.

He added: “This should not happen in any community, especially Muslims. Our religion does not teach us to do this. I hope this kind of activity never takes places again in Keighley.”

In which case it should have read “A Muslim leader” instead of making it appear that every Imam and Muslim Councillor in Bradford was preaching this message. Sloppy reporting from the Yorkshire Post.

        You could well be right.
(As you know; commonly a reporter writes the body-text and then the headings and photographs are added by other members of the staff. )

Cllr Abid Hussain and his sons feature heavily on google btw.

“Last night, when asked for a comment about his sons’ convictions, Cllr Hussain, also of Devonshire Street, said: “I cannot make any comment. They do not live here any more. They are over 16, they can look after themselves.” ”

  3. Without in any way being specific, it ought to be obvious that there is a pattern in the offenses and the offenders. At the root of it all is the drugs trade, with taxi firms being used for distribution and money laundering, and property purchases being used, additionally, to launder funds. The drugs business, at the heart of this criminality, is protected by violence and corruption.

In other words, the ‘grooming gangs’ are – without being specific – already ‘drugs gangs’ and organised criminals.

The people who are prostituting children are doing so as part of, and after a career of, other serious crimes. That no-one – neither the local politicians, police, nor their local communities – has thought to stop the non-CSE illegality shows how rotten the whole edifice has become.

I would doubt this Major – Andrew Norfolk noted that

“There has to be something, given that so often this is a normalised group activity-not among a major criminal gang, but among friends, work colleagues and relatives-that does not have the same sense of shame attached to it as would be the case for your typical white offender, who works alone because if he told too many people, somebody would report him”

      http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201213/cmselect/cmhaff/uc182-vii/uc18201.htm

So it starts out informally as a product of a sick culture and then organised criminal activity, drugs and prostitution, battens on to the the informal group abuse. It’s a chicken and egg argument, and it isn’t straight-forward. Drugs will be a factor from the word go – not least in terms of hooking the victims and providing the cash to buy them “presents”. But that doesn’t mean that the average groomer-rapist is a big player in terms of organised drugs gangs.

“The gangs are highly organised and stretch from the inner cities of Britain to the poppy fields of Afghanistan. At the bottom of the pile are the ‘runners’, usually young teenagers who make drug deliveries on specially bought mountain bikes. Then come street dealers like Salim, supplying runners and customers with their fixes.”

      http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2002/jul/14/race.drugsandalcohol

It has been claimed that as the police became more successful in busting drugs gangs they tended to move into prostituting girls where immense profits could be made with little risk of what passes for authority doing anything about it.

the balance of informal groups/organised gangs is anyone’s guess – requests to research the reasons why Pakistani groups/gangs have a predominant role in group/gang CSE have thus far fallen on deaf ears.

Anyway this horrible, vile routine continues to roll along with the Calderdale trial due to start this month

  4. This is an example of non integration and further evidence of the breakdown of British culture.
Labour is now a Trojan horse of people hell bent on take over, by peaceful means and foul (they are learning from Labour…)
Labour still thinks immigrants are with Labour for a socialist culture – they are not. They are for more immigration and “peaceful” takeover of Britain, so that WE can integrate with them!

    • Official definition of child sexual exploitation

Sexual exploitation of children and young people under 18 involves exploitative situations, contexts and relationships where young people (or a third person or persons) receive ‘something’ (e.g. food, accommodation, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, affection, gifts, money) as a result of them performing, and/or another or others performing on them, sexual activities. Child sexual exploitation can occur through the use of technology without the child’s immediate recognition; for example being persuaded to post sexual images on the Internet/mobile phones without immediate payment or gain. In all cases, those exploiting the child/young person have power over them by virtue of their age, gender, intellect, physical strength and/or economic or other resources. Violence, coercion and intimidation are common, involvement in exploitative relationships being characterised in the main by the child or young person’s limited availability of choice resulting from their social/economic and/or emotional vulnerability.

This definition of child sexual exploitation was created by the UK National Working Group for Sexually Exploited Children and Young People (NWG) and is used in statutory guidance for England. Source NPCC.

So in layman’s terms everything is imported, by your power of deduction Mk007.

      • My power of deduction and experience of ASIA says we must control immigration, so as to allow reasonable integration within existing cultures, traditions, societies and acceptance by the ordinary people who are most effected by enforced, uncontrolled and unfeted immigration – especially worsened by political motive or guilt complexes.

      • I’m glad you picked up on immigration Mk007, what has this got to do with anything, the whole issue is about using vulnerable people to gratify someone’s sexual desire.

What Mr Bond needs to do is sometimes go out side for some fresh air, like travel a little bit, try London for size! Maybe that will be too immigration’ist for you.

On the subject have you travelled to Asia by any chance?

Why I ask is, apparently any one who does is complicit in child abuse, because the book of immigration says so, and it’s been happening since the 60’s.

  5. I notice the Tory MP who is quoted in this pathetic piece of copy runs the usual pc crap that there “are plenty of white paedophiles as well” Yes there are, but the Asian gangs are not paedos – they are RAPISTS of underage kids. When will people stop making this stupid comparison ?

  6. History has no lasting examples of “multi-multiculturalism” of which I am aware. Cultures have met, they have attempted to accommodate each other and they have then clashed and one is the winner, although it may be much changed by the process. The defeated culture may survive as a remnant of its former self but is damage. (Examples are Native Americans, Australian Aboriginals. They have massive population collapse and social problems like endemic alcoholism.)
The very idea of multi-multiculturalism is essentially a non-sequitur. Usually minorities assimilate into the main culture and may well add to the totality of the dominant culture in some way. They add words to the dominant language or improve the variety of cuisine, etc.. (1950’s food was so dull)
Those that have not assimilated eventually clash and defeat or are destroyed by the dominant culture.
There may be examples of multi-multiculturalism that have endure for a considerable time, I am just not aware of any. Usually there is that clash and one defeats the other.

how would you then describe the many cultures of the country Kenya that you know well.. There the Turkana, the Samburu, the Maasii have absolutely nothing in common with in particuar the dominant Kikuyu people, and yet still live there with their own cultures. If you go slightly north of the Turkana lands into Ethiopia’s Omo valley .you meet peoples who have absolutely nothing at all common with the Ethiopia’s dominant Habasha tribes.

How could the fine people, culture and ancient city state of Harar still exist in your view of things?
(whilst it is a Muslim city – it produces what I always felt was the best bottled beer in all Africa – and also the best khat.)

Can I suggest that what you are describing, in the case of the US and OZ is British colonialism. Spain was equally bad if not worse. Portugal and Italy perhaps were less bad. the attitude of France is imho far to complex to discuss in a blog comment.

Closer to UK we have Switzerland with its 3 main languages and cultures (more if you include the Roman Catholic/Protestant split, in for example, the two Basel sub-cantons. )

The minority linguistic area of Catalonia seems to be performing well for Spain, though it hates being stuck there. … and even closer we have Scotland and Wales.

I could also mention pre-Balfour Palestine, and the Portuguese Moroccan enclave of Mogador/Essaouira – where our one time Prime Minister Disreali’s family came from.

sorry if this seems like a rant – it isn’t intended to be, but as I wrote. more places that I knew poured into my mind of where your analysis just didn’t fit the facts as I know them.

      • Many cultures coexisted for many reasons usually poverty Kenya is your example of similar people’s but you are advised to steer clear of the Somalian boarder Europe is still one of the safest places on earth apart from terrorists trying to change that culture. Switzerland a nice place with nice controlled people – they control who they allow in…
In modern times Singapore was seen as the 21st century ideal city of true multi-culturalism but unfortunately the cracks have formed and cultures are now in gangs (as in micro Calais) so immigration is now being tightened (controlled)
Even London, soon to be predomininantly immigrant in population has gang cultures forming to “take-over” the streets to their idea of modern Britain (EU too.) including, who should provide drugs, what women should wear, and what refreshments you can enjoy on a summers evening outside… I too could go on.

  7. I state a rough approximation not a total general rule. The places you mention have little prosperity and therefore little wealth to kill for.
The Spanish slaughtered and enslaved for gold, silver and to mine more of the same. The Jamestown settlement had the same intent but the population was sparse and there was little to plunder. They imported slaves and built plantations. The slaves they obtained from purchased in Africa not capture. The Kenyan peoples and many you mention were habitual enslavers and they sold their to Arab merchants. Their East African trade was reduced by the Royal Navy blockade. That is the British Empire. Anti-imperialists like to forget the long war against the slave trade. It is an exception to their general case.
Are you saying our form of intentional “multi-multiculturalism” Has successful prosperous industrialised precedents ? If so where?
There is a lot of wealth to kill and enslave for in modern advances economies.
It seems that there is racism towards Roma and this is from Asians! Right under your nose!

  8. Sonnet – Cultural Clashes

Where cultures clash then only one may win.
For multiples of cultures lead to strife
Where all but one are labelled as true sin
And worthy of the need for taking life.
The rationale where rogues may rationalise
Is that their cause is just and true and right.
Those not quite of their ilk they must despise
And treat them to the dark side and to spite.
Then when at last one cause may seem supreme
    Hegemony ordains its stable rules.
But strength may fall and fade just like some dream
All through the misrule of those ruled by fools.
    As strength returns to those who were once weak;
To those who were once strong all now turns bleak!
