No it’s not Asbo he’s still consulting with his lawyers. The question no one seems to be able to give a definitive answer to is, his he still in the Labour party.
Instead of people always being full of negativity, do something positive and stand for election in May. There is plenty of time, come on all you independents.
‘Door knocking’ is one of the most effective ways to campaign. People remember a face and personality for longer than a throw away leaflet. The best thing is it’s FREE. So come on independents get on your feet and get knocking. You will not change the world but you could have your say in Rotherham.
Why do very few Independents stand, COST. Everyone of those in the picture will be handing out leaflets free of cost to themselves. Serving Labour Cllrs have to “donate” 7% of the money we taxpayers pay them, to the Local and Central Party. So you, Mr and Mrs Taxpayer are paying for their leaflets. Independents have to pay out of their own pocket. I am sure that if they were told they had to fork out £300 £400 pounds to pay for leaflets, half of them would run a mile.
The system discriminates against the Independent.
(assuming £12,000 per year (its actually more) then they give £840 of your money to the party)
The man on the left of Healey looks suspiciously like McShane?
Is he a candidate or is he there to make up the numbers?
Please don’t tell me the Labour party is so desperate for candidates it considers a disgraced ex MP as a suitable person to be a borough councillor.
Do you include everyone in the photo in your collective description of a shower? Do you know who they all are or do you class them all as a shower because they are Labour candidates? Just curious.
Should this be about the people who are missing from the photo?
I can’t see Shokat Ali for one (although supposedly suspended from the Labour Party but not according to the Council’s website the last time I checked) NB – pity the Labour Party can’t be made to publish the outcome of their investigations into Rotherham BEFORE the May elections
We see Labour councillors this year moving wards especially Cllr Wallis from Rotherham East with the depravity caused these councillors haven’t a solution so have now jumped ship to a safer seat, So they think.
We also see Cllrs standing again who knew of CSE from the seminar held in 2005 and kept quite, Cllr Sue Ellis, Cllr Alan Akin, Cllr Rose
Mcnelly and Cllr Ken Watson.
We then see the Councillors who had to resign has cabinet members for being ‘Unfit for Purpose’ Cllr Emma Hoddinott, Cllr Dominic Beck, Cllr Maggie Godfry and Cllr Christine Beaumont.
This supposed to be a fresh start, some fresh start this is when we see unfit, still in denial, incompetent, failed to warn the public of risk to our kids for years Labour candidates.
It is a shame that most people in Rotherham that can be bothered to vote can’t see what they are doing, when without any thought they cast their vote onto the laps of these muppets who have been called incompetent and unfit for purpose by people much more educated than themselves and who are able to make such comments after having looked through lots of evidence over the course of many hours …do people think that Jay and Casey did not give much thought to their findings before each of them writ their in depth reports ? … When these i have always voted labour ,my dad and his dad also voted labour, stick a labour rosette on a donkey and i will still vote labour people put their tick in the labour box what they are doing is saying Jay and Casey do not know what they are on about .
How can anybody vote Labour, they fail across the board on most of their polices. Now they are cutting out lower paid workers and not incompetent over populated management in offices in Rotherham. I suspect they are transferring resources to deal with the CSE side of matters, that they created.
Beaumont, Rushforth, Beck are three not fit for purpose councillors and ex cabinet members that I can see straight away. Beck n Beaumont appeared around the world on the front of the infamous Times front page article for heavens sake. Have these people no shame?
I see Healey and Champion are sporting their symbolic socialist red tie and sweater. How small minded, how pathetic ! After the national disgrace and appalling decline of Rotherham, how can anyone be so thick skinned to stand in front of a Rotherham Labour Party banner and declare “this is what I believe in” ?
Perhaps the over 20 new faces are standing to make a change? Some were not even members of the party when CSE came out, I had a few on my door last week, came over as nice people who want to make change as best they can. Yes go at the questionable ones who still should question their standing but shouldn’t we see who of the many new faces gets elected and see how they perform? Such a big clear out must have some effect? The new could all be elected but ensure protests reduce chances of should we say questionable so? Mind if the whole council stood down and totally new candidates came in what chaos would that bring if no experience in running a council, is thi a reason why some have hung around?
Yippppeeee.
We still got to stand again for the Council despite being involved in the CSE coverup for decades and being in denial.
Just look the other way eh and say nowt.

Would anyone, in their right mind, want to tell anyone, they were a Rotherham Councillor. The first question would be, what did you know about CSE.

Isn’t that ex Rotherham West councillor and two times Mayor John Foden. Thought he’d retired. They must be desperate for candidates to bring him back.
