  1. Hope some people can learn from this article….. Private lives Luke are private…Your sexual preferences (like mine) are nobodies business…. Demanding respect because of who we like to sleep with gets tedious and a sure way to get peoples backs up and further alienate people from your aim…. Tantrums and threats will score you no accolades or help the gay community you wish to represent…. Lets just all keep private stuff private eh…Kind Regards Luke, sincerely.

    • I’m gobsmacked Linda, I really am. Disappointed too, you normally make valid and intelligent contributions.

If a woman was being victimised at work, purely because she’s a woman, would you tell her the same? I seriously doubt it. So why should a gay man who is being bullied for being a gay man stay silent about it? He shouldn’t really, should he? He should tell people. Which he has done. And you say it’s not helpful to the gay community. Staying silent would be less helpful, wouldn’t it?

Bullying is never acceptable. Bullying someone because of things they can’t help (things like gender, skin colour, disability, sexuality etc..) is disgraceful. So is telling the victims of such abuse that they should “suck it up”. He’s not asking for special treatment, he’s not asking for more rights than others. He’s just doesn’t want to be bullied. And you call it “throwing a tantrum”. Honestly Linda, this is the 21st century you know? I know what the Bible says about homosexuality but it’s not a crime, not in the 21st century. Bullying and vicitimisation are however, and they shouldn’t be ignored.

      • Well normally I would agree with that completely agree with that, however the Birmingham Mail has been running an excellent campaign on the grooming epidemic in the W Mids

        eg taxis suprisingly enough

        http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/birmingham-city-council-hid-links-8131813

        http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/confidential-police-reports-reveal-threats-9514835

Unfortunately this campaign has not had anything like the impact that it should have had – obviously that’s because it has no political push – and that’s because of the traditional scum Labour blind eye to gang grooming/political correctness-bloc vote nexus.

Even when their own constituencies have been specifically named as grooming hotspots these malignants, such as the mouth-motor, rent-a-quote Jess(Broad St is as bad as Cologne)Phillips and the moron Liam Byrne have nothing to say at all.

They’ve never had anything to say about the appalling postal vote fraud either – which as we know delivers guaranteed bloc votes to the Labour Party, which gives them further incentive for their contemptible omerta.

Now it seems that the Boy Wonder is a victim of “conservative Islamic values” ie extreme homophobia, but as he has chosen to join a party which knowingly betrayed young girls on an epic scale by delivering them up to be raped on the Postal Vote/Political Correctness altar he deserves little sympathy for his predicament. Labour has made what can only be regarded as a vile Faustian bargain. Although even the Devil himself might be a bit sniffy about taking their rotten souls.

The youthful Labour activist will get absolutely nowhere with his complaint.

Some Biraderi will take his place on the Hall Green executive

This part comment below the article is spot on

“We all know who runs the labour party in Birmingham and their sort would have you marched of a tall building to your death or to be stoned at the bottom. It must really be hard for the radical left two points of conflict’s LOL”

      • I agree with a lot of what you’re saying there Parsonage. But not this bit:

“as he has chosen to join a party which knowingly betrayed young girls on an epic scale by delivering them up to be raped on the Postal Vote/Political Correctness altar he deserves little sympathy for his predicament”

As you know I am no fan of the Labour Party, and I agree that it is largely down to Labour Party members that the grooming gangs got away with it for so long. But I disagree that individual members of the Party should be afforded less protection from homophobia than anyone else.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

  2. Hi R Wilde…..I agree with you and you make a good and valid point of correction…. I am guilty of 1. either not reading the article in full and # 2. not fully understanding that this was a personal attack on Luke .
May I say that I have a very large family ( no I’m not Catholic) by todays standard. My husband and I have 5 adult children and 17 grandchildren from mid twenties to small children . I am used to the cut and thrust of the 21st century family dynamics. There is a variety of opinions in my own family and they are vigorously defended by each one.. We seem to have descended from a line of strong minded opinionated people…..
Chances could well be that among my own kin there could be ones who sexuality is different to my own… My love and respect for them is unchangeable and indestructable regardless of their personal and private choices.. I may not agree if they arrogantly use ‘in your face’ argument that I and others have no right to our own opinions that are based on informed research and personal observations.
I never can properly understand why 21st century people think they have a monopoly on wisdom and morality. If it were so we wouldn’t be blogging on Rothpol. about 21st century CSE in Rotherham. Some of those morons think 21 st century wisdom gives them the right to redefine sexual conduct with children.
Getting back to Luke…..His work collegues obviously are bitten with the same moral bankruptcy and cowardice that is alive and well in RMBC. Lets be clear…. I am not PC…. I believe in a 2 strike system. The bully is first warned by any of Lukes work collegues… 2nd strike the bully gets popped. Even a Granny can do it with some assistance from office furniture if necessary!!!!
The message I am trying to pass on to Luke as I would pass on to my own kin is this..”.In your face” demands about respect for being gay is unhelpful….Militant demands of gays or anyone who sees themselves as a minority people is unhelpful to their own cause… I still believe that our adult sex lives are private matters that need discussion only with the people who are affected…
So to Luke I apologise for hurt my ignorance may have caused him , but I hope to convey to him as I would to my own grandhildren that private matters are private and they have a God given human right to resist interference from outside individuals who have no business in their lives..
. Ultimately we can help ourselves by placing boundaries around our right to privacy and not supplying the bullets for ignorant morons to fire back at us…

Yes. And if it were one of your grandchildren being bullied for being gay, would you tell them not to say anything about it?

“Ultimately we can help ourselves by placing boundaries around our right to privacy and not supplying the bullets for ignorant morons to fire back at us”

If by that you mean he shouldn’t have “come out” then sorry, but no. Why should he have to hide? It’s not like he’s a paedophile or anything, is it? It is nothing to be ashamed of. As you say, they are the ignorant morons, it is they who should be ashamed (and shamed for their actions), not him. I do agree though that some gay people are “in your face”,, miltant even and will always play the victim. And political correctness means that no criticism of their behaviour is allowed. It is also the same with certain ethnic organisations, as we have seen too often in Rotherham. However if a gay person really is being victimised it should be stopped, in much the same way as if a person is being racially abused.

When I spoke about it being the 21st century I was meaning it isn’t illegal to be gay anymore. Neither is it a question of morality or choice. The lack of morality shown by those in positions of power is much older than the 21st century, and paedophiles have been around a lot longer than that too. And isn’t it 21st century public moral outrage that has forced the authorities to take action?

I’m not having a pop Linda, really I’m not, I just think that it’s more unhealthy to hide the truth away than it is to be open and honest about it.

      Oh, and

” We seem to have descended from a line of strong minded opinionated people”

What can I say? I’m just as bad. I am the son and grandson of steel workers, born in the same village you were. I reckon there’s something in the water, lol.

  3. Thanks for an interesting and fair debate R Wilde…
My grandson and granddaughters engage me often on current topics and this is a frequent one they raise. We are not always on the same page in our views….
Your 1st question if my grandson was bullied for being gay would I tell him not to say anything about it….There is a bigger question and it’s this….Prejudice has many forms and it is a rare breed who is not infected by the toxin… In my 3 score years and 10 plus I haven’t met more than 1 or 2 people who can honestly say they are free of some prejudice…Knowing this, I try best as I can to live my own life for an audience of One….Proven remedy against disappointments that are sure to come….
No I don’t believe it necessary to ‘come out’ if you don’t want a negative response. Can’t say it too often. People comfortable with themselves feel no need to try and convince others they are ‘normal’… Who we sleep with is NOT anybody’s business other than the adults involved….
You say Mr Wilde he shouldn’t have to hide his sexuality but he shouldn’t be compelled to tell ignorant people details of the most private aspects of one life.
Public gay parades simulating sex in the main streets doesn’t endeer me to their militant cause. Exhibitionism is bound to rark some people up…
Question #2…. How do we deal with a bully. As a Mother I found the need to be creative…A serious incident happened with my 11 year old son. A 16 old pothead at school throttled him. My visit with the headmaster revealed that my son would NOT receive any school protection from those paid to do so but attempted to indoctrinate my son and me with psychobabble .
My next visit was with the local policeman… We discovered we were just one of many terrorized by this dickhead….I told the policeman my son had 5 brothers who were big buggers and offender better watch his back… The cop smiled and said he would pass the message on….Problem solved….My son felt safe and could sleep at night.
Luke would do well to use this bullying as a learning curve and kick the Cretan in the balls and run if he has to. He will find…. as all of us eventually do…. we need to be smart and not invite nobheads into our space…
Your 3rd comment re are we a kinder generation in the 21st century is another interesting question but requires more than a couple of lines. I’ve said enough….
