We need your help. And here’s why –
In just a few weeks’ time we face some tight elections right across the UK. In each of these elections the choice could not be clearer: a strong, Conservative team that will stand up for the people they represent or Jeremy Corbyn and his hand-picked candidates.
If we fail to take the fight to Corbyn’s Labour Party, the next four years could bring misery to families across Britain.
This is what Friday 6th May could look like:
- Our councils and our local police forces led by a party whose leader wants to abolish our Armed Forces, abandon our nuclear deterrent and make excuses for the terrorists who seek to do us harm.
- An opposition in Scotland that wants to put up income tax on hardworking families, would bring back secondary strike action and would print money to pay for public services.
- Labour clinging on to power in Wales for another five years, meaning further cuts to the Welsh NHS, continued failures in the education system and an economy that is falling behind the rest of the UK.
- Sadiq Khan as the Mayor of London. The same man who nominated Jeremy Corbyn for Labour leader and who said he would do it again.

The money from unions is the most honest money in politics and is a few coppers per week from nurses, printers, mechanics, bus drivers and other hard working people.
The tories get there’s from hedge funds, tax avoiders and from big business who do not ballot their workers or customers on their donations.

The money from the unions is not honest I was in unison Rotherham branch and didn’t want to pay the political levy I was told pay to the Labour Party or pay to unison’s local campaign fund ? I offered to pay the equivalent amount to bluebell wood but I was told you have to pay the politic levy . I won’t be buying a mug either .

I am not a member of UNISON, but as far as I understand, the union balloted its members and voted in favour of affiliating to the labour party and each member could either opt out or pay in to a general lobbying fund or pay nothing at all. No coercion. You could pay whatever you wanted to any organisation you wished, but you had to organize that yourself.Check it out! Don’t tell porkies.

David I asked on many occasions the option of paying nothing at all was not available I had the choice of the two that you mention i don’t tell porkies because I have no reason too I did offer to pay the money to bluebell wood which was refused .

Well, if that’s true you were told wrong. The options are: – pay into the Affiliated Political Fund (Labour), pay into the General Political Fund (to fund general campaigns e.g. Living Wage) or opt out and don’t pay into either. Your subs don’t reduce overall if you opt out but none of it ogoes to either political fund. There is no local campaign fund.

Whatever people may think of the tories there are a couple of relevant facts. First, the tories were never in control of Rotherham MBC so are not responsible for its well-publicised problems. Second, there has never been a tory MP in Rotherham. We need to look at who was in charge and who is therefore responsible and then ask if anyone else could do better.

What I say to all Conservative voters, vote UKIP and we kick Labour out of Rothervalley. I stopped voting Tory back in the 1990’s, as they betrayed us a long time ago, no better than the Labour party.

Agreed. We have 2 UKIP Councillors in Hellaby ward both excellent if the tories in Wickersley vote UKIP we will win 3 seats UKIP only need 35 seats to take control of the council

Last election was the first time Labour had less votes than UKIP and the Tories combined in Rothervalley.

I was never naive enough to vote Labour, voted Tory once and have voted for the Referendum party, English democrats and UKIP since. As for betraying us, Labour did that very successfully under Blair and Brown.
