Voluntary Sector Liaison Officer – surgery sessions now available

Rotherham Borough Council has appointed Waheed Akhtar to the new role of Voluntary Sector Liaison Officer.  The role will help to strengthen the relationship and partnership between the council and the voluntary and community sector in Rotherham.

Waheed is a key contact for the sector; aiming to improve communication and the engagement experience. He started the role in January and has been meeting with a range of groups and consortia; getting feedback on what is working well, areas that need improvement and opportunities to support the sector in playing an even greater role in Rotherham.

    • Engagement with the community sector and other groups, thought that was the job of the Councillors, after all there supposed to know what going on in their local communities. Then again this is Rotherham and judge on past experiences, seems this new lot, will be as engage as the previous lot, basically will not see , not hear, or not know of any evil, in particular , If committed by the Pakistani’s againist innocent , vunerable, little white girls, as lessons have been learn and we’re all one big happy family.
