Taxi drivers face court costs bills over licenses decisions
TAXI drivers who challenged decisions to revoke their licenses but lost their appeals must now pay Rotherham Borough Council’s court costs.
Gohear Ahmed, of Howarth Crescent owes £450 costs after his appeal at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court failed last Monday.
Only a fool will enter a courtroom believing he will win.
Irrespective of a defendant’s Race/Gender/Colour/Creed if you lose you have to pay.
I’m surprised none of them have played the race card yet.

What I would like to know is how many appeals have been successful?

What I would like to know is how many of the court costs have actually been paid by these taxi drivers.

The article in the ‘Advertiser’ is dated 22nd June therefore I think it is very unlikely the appellants have paid any costs to date.

If the Magistrates have upheld the councils objections to granting theses people their licenses, why have the council now published the reasons for banning these individuals , unless there being investigated elsewhere?
