Three MPs in South Yorkshire are being investigated by police over alleged electoral expenses fraud.
Labour MPs Sir Kevin Barron (Rother Valley), Sarah Champion (Rotherham) and John Healey (Wentworth and Dearne) have all denied the allegations.
South Yorkshire Police said it was in the early stages of an inquiry into alleged expenses fraud in Rotherham during the 2015 general election.
It is assessing whether the deadline for investigations can be extended.
“Officers are currently collating information to assess whether an application for an extension to the 12-month parameters on the time to investigate could be obtained from the courts,” the force said.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “South Yorkshire Police is investigating allegations of electoral expenses fraud in Rotherham in 2015. “The investigation remains ongoing and an application for an extension has been granted by the courts.”
I doubt it was the Labour Party themselves who reported it ! But, didn’t Sir The Rt Hon ….. Report himself once before to his own self as chair of the standards committee.
My money is on a UKIP member, rather than UKIP the party.

Well if UKIP did report it good on them they’re not going to report themselves are they ? wasn’t it another political party that reported McShane and he belly ached over that. Put it this way if they’ve done nothing wrong they’ve nothing to be afraid of. All politicians are the same and that is not just MP’s they don’t break the rules they’re too savvy for that they just bend them to suit themselves because that’s what they are selfers Pigs with their noses in the troughs things never change
