Rotherham abuse whistleblower Jayne Senior faces investigation over survivors’ complaints

An independent investigation is being launched into complaints about the conduct of award-winning Rotherham scandal whistleblower Jayne Senior by a number of abuse survivors.

Three official complaints have been made to Rotherham Council about the conduct of Mrs Senior in relation to her role as a support worker for survivors of child sexual exploitation and their families at the Swinton Lock Activity Centre, which receives council funding.

The Star has spoken to four people who say they have raised concerns about Mrs Senior’s conduct with Rotherham Council – two of the three people who have made official complaints and two more who say they are in the process of doing so.

Rotherham abuse whistleblower Jayne Senior investigated

An investigation is being held into complaints against the woman who first exposed the child sexual abuse scandal in Rotherham.

Jayne Senior was made an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June for services to child protection.

Rotherham Council said it had received three complaints, and “an independent investigation is now under way”.

  9. Yesterday’s Star and other media reported that complaints have been made to RMBC by a number of CSE survivors regarding the conduct of Councillor Jayne Senior. Since then there have been a number of comments on Rothpol. A small number of comments have named me and suggested that I am involved in these complaints.
    I have posted comments of my own regarding this but now at the request of Rothpol I am providing a formal response.
    I only became aware of these complaints through media coverage in the Star and BBC.
    It therefore came as quite a surprise that on Rothpol I was being considered a party to these complaints against Councillor Senior.
    I can confirm that as PCC candidate earlier this year I did meet a number of survivors through survivors groups. I can also confirm that I have recently been appointed Regional Organiser for UKIP. I have kept in contact with a number of survivors since the election in May and I have offered personal support unconnected with my role as Regional Organiser.
    If anybody wishes to complain about possible misconduct by a public official then I will always recommend that they approach the appropriate authority, or seek assistance from their elected representatives, be that MEP. MP or local councillor.
    I have no knowledge of any complaint that has been made, or who made it and repeat that I have no involvement in this matter.

  10. I’m a little bit late to this party and I am concerned that rothpol allows textspeak on this forum.
    No other forum I’m a member of allows it simply because A) It is difficult to follow and B) It is a sloppy and corrupt use of my mother tongue.
    I’m neither pedantic nor ‘posh’ but I am appreciative of good grammar.

    Back on topic…….While ‘lapdog and ‘Survivor ‘ continue their love-in I have not read any evidence that confirms any names except Mrs.Senior’s therefore I must ask; Why the big hoo-ha?
    Supposition,conjecture and wild allegations about alleged misdemeanours can usually be found on social media sites not widely read public forums.
    Considering this is a serious topic most of the comments so far are flippant in the extreme.

    • Jayne senior is using people to attack survivors on social media she is a erm professional I think she calls herself then plays the innocent party’s , she does it to discreit people,
      When they pubically speak out she then tried to get them arrested to silence them . we have messages to prove all this .
      she has done this in the past with other groups of people. as you can see lap dog is well her lapdog a vile person who like to attack survivors of cse he is on Twitter but his account is locked but his whole Twitter account is dedicated to attcking a group of survivors (women ) which I find odd that he’s life seems obsessed with us and he likes to hide behind numerous accounts he had 3 on go on one status on Roth pol few weeks ago .
      We’ve had enough of his vile attacks and have lowered ourself to his level seen as this is the only level he understands but he’s had a lovely night out on tax payers so hey ho.

How is it acceptable for my name to be mentioned when no one knows where are who the complaints are about I’m sure it’s a breeched of my confidentiality weather I’m in public domain or not it is private why is it ok for people to keep attacking me and provoking me ?     • That’s not a treat, a threat is when someone threatens somebody’s life or threatens to physically harm. So by law it is not a threat. I think the best thing that can happen is for Roth pol to stop posting stuff about CSE or relating to CSE. It seems the intentions of this blog are not about truth or justice and what’s best for victims or survivors. What I will say is people made out we was liars many years ago and we proved them wrong, with the help of Andrew Norfolk. I think a lot of you are forgetting what this is about and why survivors are so determinded. We had our voices ripped from us as children, while we was being beaten, raped and abused, we will not let that happen again. We will continue to shout. For you this may just be a topic to chat about but for us this is our lives, we lived it and breathed it.

    • Lap dog on Tuesday 26th April 2016 at 11am you spoke at a training event in Durham organised by Durham police. Both yourself and a survivor spoke about your life experiences and both recieved £150.00 each. The survivor admits speaking and both of you receiving £150.00. There is evidence to prove this. There is also evidence that it was infact Jayne Senior herself that spoke with Durham police and arranged the fee of £150.00. So in attempt of you trying to save Mrs Senior you have only infact made yourself to be a great big liar and dropped Jayne Senior right in it! If you want you and your family to be supported by Jayne senior that is entirely your choice even though you know what she has done, but please don’t harass and slander others for being brave enough to speak out about her and the truth, this takes great courage. Please go on your way and leave other’s alone. The fact that her son has intimidated a complainant and you are lying and slandering people to protect her certainly hasn’t done her any favours.

I have to say as a survivor in Rotherham, I have dedicated my life over the past few years to bring awareness to CSE, encouraging others to come forward, to give other survivors a voice and to give there voice credibility so that when they testify in court they get justice. I have done all that off my own accord not because I am paid to, not because I’m a professional, not because I have gained a career because I haven’t, it’s because I am a survivor, one that is passionate about helping others. I dedicate every single day of my time FOR FREE to help move Rotherham forward. Other survivors I know have also done this. So it is a grate shame and extremely disrespectful to see people such as Jayne Senior and her ‘lap dog’ and his family try and undo all of that. I am not even going to waste my breath proving what a liar you are lapdog or Jayne as it’s pathetic how pathetic you are. Iv been in contact with Jayne Senior every day for years and I know exactly what she has been doing and she certainly is only out for herself. Again I will not waste my breath proving that either. For years we have been called liars, and every name under the sun and not only have we had to deal with our abuse but with the cover up and being failed. Some of us have been fortunate enough to have proven in a court of law we told the truth. However yet again we are been called liars but this time by the so called whistleblower (that didn’t even whistle blow) that apparently dedicates her life to giving us a voice, when in actual fact she is doing a job she is paid to do ( and doing that job very badly) and only come forward to Andrew Norfolk because she found out other professionals and survivors had ( what a sinking ship she would have gone down with if she didn’t ) . So I wish all the great people that are really helping Rotherham and its survivors all the best. Let’s get back to the real point of this post. Jayne Senior has been reported and being investigated by survivors. The same survivors that was always telling the truth and that exposed Rotherham. Also Jayne is no victim and if she has got nothing to hide them why is her son intimidating the complainants. Oh dear not looking good for told Senior is it??

      • This is not a competition lapdog of who does the most and actually it was myself and another survivor that went to Andrew Norfolk with our own Evidence that printed our stories and named Arshid Hussain and Akhtar. That had nothing to do with Jayne It was also me and survivors that gave statements and testified in court, again that had nothing to do with Jayne. It was the survivors stories that triggered Jay report and all investigations. It was also us doing hundreds of interviews around the world to bring it to light not Jayne. And it’s also survivors that are campaigning everyday for free to change things, She only went public after it was all exposed.I won’t say that Jayne handing things over didn’t help I’m sure it did but what I am saying is I think you will find its because of survivors why it was exposed. I’d also like to say there was other professionals that came forward to The Times to help but have never been given credit. So I think credit where credit is due to survivors don’t ever tell me we havnt achieved anything. We’ve sacrifice our life’s for this

    • Spoke a lot about abusers, Akhtar, Thacker, Kimber, Wright, SYP, RMBC not because we fancy them but because they was doing bad things. We was called Heroes for that. We’re doing the same with Jayne Senior. It’s no different lapdog. Would you like to explain why you publically spoke out against Jayne Senior but now you support her. Also any ideas why her son has intimidated a complainant?
