Sixty Tory MPs including seven ex-cabinet ministers have demanded Theresa May pulls Britain out of the single market and customs union amid fears her Brexit stance could be watered down.
Michael Gove, Iain Duncan Smith, John Whittingdale and Theresa Villiers are among leading Eurosceptics to put their names to the negotiation demand.
The politicians have gone public through The Sunday Telegraph amid concerns that pro-EU figures in the Cabinet are fighting to soften the Government’s Brexit position.

Senior Tories urge May to drop Supreme Court appeal over Brexit ruling
A prominent Brexit supporter has joined senior Tories in urging Theresa May to scrap an appeal against a court ruling which states that Parliament must approve the triggering of the formal process to leave the EU.
Former cabinet minister Owen Paterson joined Remain-backers Oliver Letwin, former attorney general Dominic Grieve and ex-solicitor general Sir Edward Garnier in calling for the Prime Minister to abandon her Supreme Court appeal.
It comes after the Scottish and Welsh Governments were given permission to intervene in the case, in which the Government is appealing against a High Court ruling which states that Mrs May must get MPs’ permission before triggering Article 50 of the EU treaties to begin the exit process.
