Yorkshire police sergeant faces sack for calling colleague ‘sweetcheeks’

A SOUTH Yorkshire police sergeant who allegedly called his junior officer ‘sweetcheeks’ and asked whether she was wearing a black thong during work phone calls faces being dismissed from the force.

Sergeant Jeremy Fitzgibbons will appear before a public misconduct hearing next week accused of gross misconduct over his behaviour towards his colleague, described only as ‘officer A’, in 2015.

According to a description on the force’s website: “During 2015, Officer ‘A’ was employed by South Yorkshire Police and was a junior member of staff to PS Fitzgibbons.
