South Yorkshire MP attacks Prime Minster’s grammar school expansion plans

A Sheffield MP has joined a new cross-party campaign to derail Theresa May’s flagship education reform programme to expand the number of grammar schools in England.

Sheffield Hallam MP and former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg has joined forces with Conservative former education secretary Nicky Morgan and Labour ex-shadow education minister Lucy Powell to oppose the plan.

In a joint article in The Observer, they argue that creating new grammar schools will do nothing to promote social mobility and warn there is no room for more “division or political ideology” in the education system.

    So – Nick Clegg is opposed to T.May’s idea of bringing back Grammar schools ! No surprise then to find out that this “Political prostitute” went to a Prep School followed by a Private Day & Boarding school situated in Westminster

    I’m no fan of Clegg but I doubt he had much say in his chosen school. I was sent to Sunday school but didn’t send my children.
