Sarah Wilson – Child Sexual Exploitation in Rotherham

Sarah Wilson – Child Sexual Exploitation in Rotherham – Press Release

Sarah Wilson is a survivor of Child Sexual Exploitation in Rotherham and author the book ‘Violated’.

On 17 March she was due to face a criminal harassment trial at Sheffield Magistrates Court in connection with messages and telephone calls sent to Jayne Senior MBE.

The charges were however dropped in court on 17 March and the CPS offered no evidence.

Sarah agreed to a restraining order on acquittal to prevent her from contacting Jayne Senior for a three-year period.

Sarah is pleased with the outcome and that the criminal case is over.

She was represented by Ian Anderson of Ison Harrison Solicitors who said: “The result is a victory for pragmatism and sensibility and we thank the CPS for agreeing to a course of action which reflects the nature of the case and respects Sarah’s wishes. A trial was only likely to cause stress and difficulty for all parties whatever the result. Sarah is pleased to be able to re-focus on campaigning in her long fight for justice.”
