Sheffield man one of 29 to face horrific crimes against 18 children including rape and trafficking

A Sheffield man is one of 29 people to have appeared in court facing a total of more than 170 charges relating to the sexual exploitation of 18 children.

The 27 men and two women appeared before a district judge at Huddersfield Magistrates Court yesterday charged with offences including rape, trafficking, sexual activity with a child, child neglect, child abduction, supplying drugs and making of indecent images of children.

One of those was Abdul Rehman, aged 29, of Darnley Drive, Manor, Sheffield. He is charged with rape, trafficking, supplying drugs, supply of a controlled substance with intent to engage in sexual activity and sexual touching.

24 Huddersfield men and 2 women in court today over charges of rape, neglect and sex abuse on girls as young as 11

They are among 29 in total charged as part of Operation Tendersea after 18 girls aged 11 to 17 were sexually abused in Huddersfield

The 29 men and women charged with dozens of historic sexual offences against girls are appearing at Kirklees magistrates court today.

Twenty-seven men have been charged, with one man alone charged with 21 offences of rape.

Twenty four of the men and two women are from the Huddersfield area.

Twenty nine people have appeared in a West Yorkshire court on a total of more than 170 charges of sexually exploiting 18 children.

The 27 men and two women appeared before a district judge at Huddersfield Magistrates Court charged with offences including rape, trafficking, sexual activity with a child, child neglect, child abduction, supplying drugs and making of indecent images of children.

Huddersfield child sex inquiry sees 29 in court

Twenty-nine people have appeared in court as part of an inquiry into child sex abuse and neglect in Huddersfield.

The alleged offences took place in the town between 2004 and 2011 and involved girls aged between 11 and 17.

Twenty-seven men appeared before magistrates accused of offences against 18 people, including rape and trafficking. Two women are charged with child neglect.

In all the 29 defendants face a total of more than 170 charges.

Protestors shouted abuse as the defendants arrived at the town’s court.

  1. These abusers and paedophiles are not getting long enough sentences. They should get at least 10 years for every child abused. The victims should not be all lumped together for him to get just the one punishment. The pervs should not be let off so lightly. That is why the situation is so out of hand.

    Another thing. These are very serious crimes so WHY are they not being talked about in the media and TV? That is also disgusting.
