David Blunkett: Democracy is about ensuring that Theresa May’s delusion lasts no further than June 8.

IN this newspaper 11 months ago, I acknowledged that a majority in our region had voted for Brexit. What’s more, this wasn’t just about the alienated and dispossessed. Many businesspeople had also cast their vote to leave. My reaction was “well it’s down to all of us now to make a success, whether we were for or against leaving”.

What I could not have foreseen at the time was that there would be a General Election on June 8 in which the Prime Minister would try and rerun the questions relating to our relationship with Europe in a blatant attempt to eliminate as much opposition and questioning as possible, both inside and outside the Palace of Westminster.

  1. Colin Tawn says:

Why is a failed MP (sacked twice by Blair) given free publicity?
He has about as much influence on this election as Farron.

People vote for the candidate who represents their best interests at the time of the election, they do not vote for a candidate based on gender.

Blunkett is also guilty of a ‘blatant attempt’ to interfere in the Brexit negotiations and after watching and listening the performances of Labour MP’s on the subject of Brexit I wouldn’t trust them to negotiate on my behalf.
I’d prefer TM to negotiate instead of watching Corbyn surrender.

Didn’t Emma write to him re CSE?

      • Loudmouth says:

He can’t remember that, like the Rotherham Labour Party, didn’t have a clue, CSE was rife in the town. He’s as toxic as Blair, New Labour and Jezza’s Labour, untrustworthy.
