  • He was widely praised for his role in tackling the Rochdale grooming scandal
  • Was told he was no longer welcome at event because of his ‘offensive’ comments

A British Asian lawyer has been banned by fellow lawyers for speaking out in The Mail on Sunday about grooming scandals involving predominantly Asian men and white girls.

Nazir Afzal, who was widely praised for his role in tackling the Rochdale grooming scandal, has been barred from making the keynote speech at the Society of Asian Lawyers annual awards and ball in London on October 28.

He was shocked to be told he was no longer welcome at the glittering event because of his ‘offensive’ comments in this newspaper.

The embarrassed SAL lawyer tasked with notifying Mr Afzal of the ban told him he personally opposed the decision – but had been over-ruled.

  1. If a white European had banned this man from speaking at an event the soft brown stuff would hit the whirly thing. The Equality Act means nothing to the Society of Asian Lawyers-which by its title is a racist organisation-and why are there no protests from ‘Community Leaders’ who are constantly telling us Asian communities are working hard to prevent any misunderstandings about their culture?
The attitude shown by the SAL is the same one that allows CSE to go underground and unreported.

  2. Nazir Afzal is not trying to make a “political statement” about misogyny when he speaks about the need to accept that the issue of grooming,,, rape and trafficking of young and vulnerable white girls by predatory Pakistani men is a huge problem in towns and cities throughout the UK ! It would appear the SAL wish to continue the promulgation of” Islamic victimhood” instead of accepting the blindingly obvious facts ! A self serving bunch of deniers – not unlike the denizens of Town Hall Towers here in Rotherham ! When will bodies such as the SAL and other, similar, groups realise that they will never become integrated ( if that is their wish) until they accept the truth and act upon it ??
