PROLIFIC child abuser Arshid Hussain’s 35-year prison sentence will not be extended despite him being found guilty of yet another sexual assault.
Hussain (42) appeared at Sheffield Crown Court via videolink from Doncaster Prison this morning after being convicted by a jury in just 38 minutes yesterday.
Judge Sarah Wright sentenced him to seven years in prison for the sexual assault which occurred in 2003 against a 13-year-old girl.
But she said after taking into account the principle of totality, the sentence would run concurrent to the current 35-year jail term which Judge Wrtight imposed in February 2016 for 23 child sexual exploitation offences against nine other victims.

The ringleader of a grooming gang who raped and abused teenage girls in Rotherham has been found guilty of assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
Arshid Hussain, 42, was convicted at Sheffield Crown Court of goading the girl into performing a sex act in 2003.
Hussain, formerly of Goole, is already serving a 35-year term after he was convicted of 23 counts of abuse.

A sex attack victim has been praised for helping detectives to bring the man who preyed on her to justice.
Arshid Hussain, aged 42, formerly of High Street, East Cowick, Goole, was yesterday found guilty of indecently assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
It took jurors at Sheffield Crown Court just 38 minutes to convict Hussain of the offence, which took place in Rotherham between January and March 2003 when he was aged 27.

Given that he did not get a “whole life” tariff for the original convictions I feel this latest sentence should have been made “consecutive” to send out a clear message to all other groomers and rapists that their activities will not be tolerated and the Judiciary will sentence accordingly ! I can see this particular offender running with the system for a few years and then playing the ill health card to try for early parole !

Absolutely! His sentence should have been consecutive. His victim must feel that her abuse was viewed as trivial if he is not going to serve one extra day in prison for it.
A clear message was needed here and the judge has failed to take the opportunity to send it.

If I remember correctly he was appealing his original conviction of CSE, only last year.
Thankfully that appeal was thrown out of court, and subsequently charged, and sentenced with more CSE related crimes.
Full credit given to the latest survivor of this monsters criminal actions, to have come forward, and relived through the pain in court again.
It does appear that this Mad monster is not going to get out of Jail alive, but why would the CPS not run his sentence consecutively to previous sentence.
The one thing that I am sure on, this will not be the last victim to come forward, regarding his despicable actions.
