Fatima Community Centre in Sheffield says it has ‘temporarily closed’ after terror plot raid

A Sheffield community centre which was raided by armed police to disrupt a potential terror plot has told trustees it has ‘temporarily closed’

Armed police sealed off Fatima Community Centre in Burngreave on Tuesday as part of a number of terror raids across Sheffield and Chesterfield.

A 22-year-old and a 36-year-old man were arrested from their home address above the community centre while a 41-year-old was arrested at a property in Meersbrook.

Anti-terror police complete search of community centre and mosque in Sheffield

Search teams have concluded their examination of a community centre and mosque in Sheffield after a raid as part of an anti-terror operation.

Officers raided Fatima Community Centre, which is also a mosque, in Burngreave, as part of a pre-planned operation run by the North East Counter Terrorism Unit and MI5 on Tuesday.

  1. This “community centre” ( LOL ) is affiliated to the MAB (Muslim Association of Britain ) .
    I won’t make any comments about this group headed by Tikriti ( he’s a real bag of tricks ) , but anyone interesed can research them and see what they are about if you care to wend your way past the smoke and mirrors that they erect.
    But you have to laugh ( or not ) at their motto :

    The vision of the Muslim Association of Britain is: “Muslims At Their Best.”[

  2. Am I right in thinking there may be a link between the “Muslim Association of Britain” and the Muslim Brotherhood ?? Can anyone help re this point ??

  3. It is strange that the press refer to the community centre but the locals they interviewed talked of the mosque and we only go there to pray
    whichever is true I think it was the flats above the said place and not the actual community centre / mosque
