Codd admitted three counts of possessing child abuse images and one count of possessing extreme pornography involving animals.

  1. But he was still able to be around the children in the classes until he was finally dealt with at court , that’s why all the kids parents are going mad , the other teachers all knew what had happened but hid it from the parents, hope it’s shut for good

So here is RMBC’s usual attempt to wriggle out of their statutory responsibility:
‘A Rotherham Borough Council spokesman said: “This is a private business and not connected in any way to Rotherham Council. However, in our local authority safeguarding role we have a duty of care to all Rotherham children’.
RMBC HAS a statutory duty for Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults within private settings and needs to satisfy itself that their protection is in place.
To say the company has nothing to do with them is precisely why hundreds of young girls were sexually abused for so long in Rotherham.
Codd was arrested in January 2017 (and RMBC would have been informed) but was left alone to be with children in his care until January 2016 with RMBC yet again turning a blind eye.
Notice Codd described himself as ‘author, photographer and film maker of Team Katalyst’ .
      Really?

  2. Resigned on 1 January 2018
He was arrested in February 2017, admitted the offences, yet did not resign until January 2018 !
WHY have the local authorities continued to allow this man and this organisation to continue during this period and WHY was he not immediately suspended by the management ?

It is proposed that, for all the propaganda, NO local institution in South Yorkshire has got to grips with the child abuse issues, despite all the claims to the contrary.

The same council failed to also Safeguard and protect over 1400 children being subjected to cse by covering it up.
