The Oxford imam who defended Boris Johnson this week has a warning for liberals
Taj Hargey, the Oxford imam and scholar who robustly defended Boris Johnson in the row over burkas this week, has a habit of asking vivid questions and then answering them himself with a punchiness that makes the former foreign secretary seem timid and colourless.
“Do you think that these Wahhabis, Saudis and other extremists are going to be content with the burka and niqab?” he asks. “No! [The burka] is a fifth column, it’s a Trojan horse. They are going to bring other forms of Sharia down the pike. This is not the end of the story.
“White, liberal, Guardian-type readers think that they should allow this multiculturalism, where everything is equal, to flourish. They are in for a rude shock. One day they will wake up, if nothing happens [to stop it], to an Islamic republic of Britain. Now, before that happens I’m out of here. If tomorrow an Islamic Republic of Britain is announced, I leave tonight.”

There will never be an Islamic Republic of Great Britain. To tie a country like this one together with ‘Islam’ would be deeply insulting to many people, including me, cause there is no association between this country and Islam.
Islam in the form it should be delivered has given us coffee, the guitar, maths, first woman at university and the obligation to kiss the feet of their mothers etc.
Great Britain in the form it should be delivered has given us racism, war and offered women up as objects of sexual gratification.
Anyone wishing to burden Islam with this country had better think twice. The whole idea is insulting nonsense.
Let the Islamic Republics and the other secular Republics grow and the many Muslims that live there will happily stay, spend their Col. Gaddafi inspired Golden Dinar and live in relative peace.
The UK can’t bomb Iraq from 1914 to 2014 and then scream when they get immigration from Iraq, or the same with all those other countries.
The whole idea is childish silly nonsense.
As for the Imam from Oxford, he speaks as if having an Islamic Republic of Great Britain would be a good thing…what a bonkers idea. Who finds these deluded people to spout such nonsense?

You clearly haven’t read the article. The Imam from Oxford says the complete opposite of what you allege. If you read it he says that if an Islamic Republic of Great Britain was to come into being tomorrow he would be gone tonight!

Anyone with eyes in their head can see this coming, only the delusional progressives can’t.
A total ban on any more Muslim immigration and any more mosques( many financed with Saudi money) being built are needed. But now we are taking in the Muslim White Helmets from Syria. The Gulf states have taken none because they don’t want to destabilise their countries! If we don’t make a stand now against this it will soon be too late! We no longer have Islam creep it’s now doing a fast trot.

Totally agree on the point about Saudi money financing Mosques in the UK, who was it that loved the House of Saud and their family? That would be Mr Churchill.
Totally agree on the point about the White Helmets, there is enough terror supporting idiots on the streets of London being allowed to promote their books/leaflets. Shutting them and the White Helmets out of the UK would make it safer.
