This will be one of the most interesting Wards to follow this year, as Jahangir Akhtar will be seeking re-election for Labour, defending just, 42,6% share of the vote the last time out!
This victory was only possible in 2010 because of the way the opposition vote split, giving him a significant numerical majority, due to the simultaneous General Election which concealed the potential for disaster this time round, perhaps .
A bit of hubris was all it needed to make Akhtar believe he was popular and safe.
Suspect the voters will not be making the same mistake this time round?
