Have we seen, today, a glimpse of the “Federal State of Europe” deploying it’s fledgling Pan European police force in Catalonia to crush the wishes of a portion of it’s people whose only crime is the desire to be independent ? Just a chilling foretaste of future actions which the UK has avoided by voting “Out”??

Catalan referendum: ‘Hundreds hurt’ as police try to stop voters
Catalan officials say at least 337 people have been injured as police used force to try to prevent voting in Catalonia’s independence referendum.
The Spanish government has pledged to stop a poll that was declared illegal by the country’s constitutional court.
Police officers are preventing people from voting, and seizing ballot papers and boxes at polling stations.
In the regional capital Barcelona, police used batons and fired rubber bullets during pro-referendum protests.
You simply cannot stop people voting…
And the Eurodictators will not want any country leaving.

Xinsider has written utter nonsense.
It wasn’t a “Pan European police force” that attacked the demonstrators and tried to close the polling stations.
Spain is quite capable of messing up things all by itself.

Ah, national sovereignty, each nation able to screw up all by itself.
If Eu involved directly how come they allowed Scots to vote!

The Scottish Independence Referendum was accepted by the UK government.
The Catalan Referendum was not accepted by the Spanish Right-wing government.
Things haven’t really changed all that much in Madrid since Franco’s time (IMHO).
All Homage to Catalonia!

My point is EU not connected to this. Yes, I am familiar with Orwell’s book.
