Northern Ireland’s police chief faces probe over criminal investigation into ex-Yorkshire Chief Constable

Northern Ireland’s police chief is facing an investigation into alleged misconduct in public office following a complaint by West Yorkshire’s former Chief Constable about the criminal inquiry that saw him suspended from his job.

George Hamilton and a number of other senior Police Service of Northern Ireland officers are subject to the probe by the region’s Police Ombudsman. The PSNI said they “completely refute” all allegations.
