Since Barron’s Knighthood he seems to have become expert in all fields.

This is Kevin’s blog, from the Worksop Guardian of this week:

  1. It seems like daddy’s little girl has left a pamphlet out on the coffee table. Since she has become the chief idiot in RMBC on educational matters it would seem Sir Nutkins has become more interested in this area. Firstly, there have always been both academic and vocational routes open to pupils from as far back as Grammar schools! There have always been college courses and training available to those that chose say building or catering as a career rather than going to university. As for his ramblings re Singapore! He should have pointed out that Oriental culture is very different to British culture. It is a very narrow education system based entirely on academia quite the contrary to Kevin’s ideas re vocational aspirations. You cannot simply import educational processes and hope that they will work. Master teachers? Is that your big idea Kevin? As for his ramblings halfway through which diverts strangely from one subject to another….education to health, well we are all worried about our health service but you voted for the introduction of private health care working within the NHS. This New Labour move was the green light for privatisation of the NHS and the Tories have simply followed on from something you initiated. Time for Sir Nutkins to go and take up some non job with his comrades from the Pharmaceutical world I think!

    • Well said and written Anon.
You saved me the energy responding to this straw grasping buffoon.
      Enough said.

  2. If it is the same system that produced his level of logic then yes. But this “arse wipe” is no better than the Labour line all these puppets spew out! Down with the lot!

  3. Typical Nutkin – disjointed to the end. Chuck something in middle to confuse the plebs. His mate Blair started all this and I doubt Milliband has the balls to change it. Why doesn’t he do the honourable thing and p*ss off with the cash he’s made from us plebs.

  4. “We need big reforms not big spending” says sir Kev.
Spending on education between 1997-2010 rose from £49.7 billion to £88.6 billion.
    http://sticerd.lse.ac.uk/dps/case/spcc/wp03.pdf
The Coalition is spending exactly the same amount (£88.6 billion) in 2014
    http://www.ukpublicspending.co.uk/total_spending_2015UKbn
I don’t recall Sir Kev complaining about the amounts of money being spent, he did after all agree with Blair’s mantra; ‘Education, education, education’. Barron has to give the Worksop Guardian something to print every week so he might as well fill his allotted column inches with his usual garbage.

Yes he does, regular as clockwork. His articles would have you believe that everything that is wrong with Britain began in May 2010. Before then Everything Was Rosy And Serene In Labour’s Paradise.
Never a mention of PFI, unregulated financial wrongdoings,Labour’s failure to build new houses or their lack of investments in our infrastructure.
I think it is time for him to retire to spend more time with his bank account.

  5. The thing about Sir Nutkins is that he has made a career out of being a non entity. He flies under the radar. He remains invisible unless he is forced out into the open to bark the establishment line be it the Labour one or the parliamentary one (eg defending MPs during the expenses scandals). He is the archetypal yes man. His daughter follows the same brief, say nothing, have no opinions and fly under the radar….no one notices her. She has nothing to say, yet she is in the cabinet. Kevin Baron has been the representative for Rother Valley for 30 years yet I challenge anyone to point out a single thing of note that he has achieved for the area. Look at his parliamentary record and it shows that he comments more about health, pharmaceuticals or areas related to this. Just check how many times he mentions his constituency or matters related to the problems people face there, you will be astonished at the lack of interest he seems to have for the area compared to Pharmacy. It’s no surprise that he sold his house in Maltby and moved away from the place and people who put him in his privileged position. He has turned his back on those that helped him out of the collieries and onto millionaires row. Sir Kevin now allegedly resides in a mansion in the Peak District bought with tax payers money that he accrued through property bought and sold with parliamentary allowances. It’s sad, that in an area with so much deprivation and poverty that the local MP lives a life of luxury and cares nothing for those who entrusted him with their votes so that he may give them a voice. Instead they have been repaid with contempt, inaction and selfishness.

  6. The newly elected UKIP MP for the Rother Valley thanked her supporters for their hard work in securing a landslide victory.
Our job was made so much easier with having a sitting Labour MP who had stopped working for his constituents, had moved out of the area and had dropped any pretence of being in touch with local issues.

You never know, roll on 2015!

Sorry to disappoint you but UKIP as already selected its parliamentary candidate for Rother Valley – a male, Cllr Alan Cowles.

  7. What a joke sir nutkin talking about education. He should know that there are a lot of people like me who know this clowns history. He wanted to escape from the pit and so he went to the trade union university college that is Ruskin. He graduated but couldn’t find the position he wanted, the NUM had to struggle to get him his job back at Maltby pit. Nutkin then spent his time sucking up to Scargill pretending to be this great socialist. He succeeded Sir Jack Layden, another nutkin, as NUM delegate for Maltby, more crawling to Scargill got nutkin the NUM nomination for the parliamentary candidate for Rother Valley. Once ensconced in parliament sir nutkin dropped all pretence of being a socialist aligning himself with Kinnock, even going as far as to blame the miners for the violence during the strike; and this year taking part in a tv programme to stab Scargill in the back. Nutkin is and has always been a self serving crawler hence the knighthood.

  8. At least he’s honest Dave unlike Jack Layden who was as bent as a butcher’s hook. He also spoke the truth about that other bent b*****d Scargill and the fact the miners were to blame for the violence during the strike!!! You have a terribly short memory when it comes to King Arthur who pocketed the miner’s strike money to pay off his mortgage and he was still at it until recently when he tried to pocket more of the NUM funds. Don’t criticise people for speaking the truth!

    • Unfortunately, you are way behind the times with these comments. All those allegations were dropped and proven to be fabrications. The only person prosecuted for stealing union funds was the accuser who collaborated with the Cook report to try and frame Scargill and his deputy Capstick. This was proven to be a Smear campaign after the strike to finish off the National Union of Mineworkers so the government could implement their ‘final solution ‘ and close all existing mines. In his book The Enemy Within by Seamus Milne, he totally destroys this myth pushed by the right wing media and one that you were obviously taken in by. Hence the total disgust felt towards Baron and Kinnock who also fell for the lies and fabrications. Scar gill and his team did an excellent job hiding funds from the full weight of the establishment who were hellbent on crushing this working class revolt. This involved MI5, Special Branch, law lords and high ranking government ministers, right up to the Prime Minister. This is all proven by documents recently brought to light in the Orgreave inquiry and released under the 30 year rule. Remember, those miners on strike were not asking for a pay rise, less hours or anything else. All they wanted was to halt the decimation of an industry and communities. You only have to walk around our villages to see who was right.

      • What a load of crap! If I remember rightly, the investigation/enquiry was carried out by a barrister appointed by Scargill himself who was paid by the NUM to clear his name.
“The miner’s were not asking for a pay rise” ? Again, what a load of crap, the fact is that for years leading up to the strike, the miners struck at least once a year to blackmail the Government into giving them pay rises far beyond what the average working man EARNED! It was their greed that closed the mines, not the Government. They were paid an extra day if they would work a FULL week because they took home such massive wage packets they could afford to work only 3 or 4 days a week. Don’t tell me this isn’t true because you know for a fact it is!

  9. Alan Cowles the UKIP candidate, I do hope that is a joke!
The Beck of UKIP standing in Rother Valley and there`s me thinking Barron would be gone in 2015, just goes to show, old, male and pale the same as the Tories

    • Why do you think that Kevin decided to stand again? Against someone like Cowles even he’s sure to win.

Down at the bottom it says:
      “GENERAL ELECTION 2015

WENTWORTH & DEARNE MR CAVEN VINES

IMHO John WIlkinson is way out of his shallow depth trying to run a parliamentary election campaign.
Rother Valley and possibly Rotherham seats are potential UKIP seats , whilst Wentworth & Dearne will almost certainly remain a safe labour seat (it mainly covers Barnsley – a no-go area for UKIP) – so why put your most visible and able candidate Caven Vines in to fight Wentworth and Dearne, give him Rother Valley to fight – it’s the most likely seat to go UKIP.
(Taking on Barron will be a damn sight easier than taking on Sarah Champion – IMHO).
      ____
I live in Rother Valley; I want Barron out, but whilst I’d vote for Caven , I’d never vote for Cowles.
