Radio 4’s Today program was rather negative towards the report. — and after a first reading I tend to agree.

What a load of rubbish, she spent 3 years basically rehashing know facts and conviently side step the real issue of CSE by Pakistani grooming gangs. Prising the aurthorites for their surpposed improvements, which by their own figures are laughable. Got to remember she’s a Labour MP standing for re- election in 2015 , with a sizeable Pakistani population in her constituency, one wouldn’t want to rock the boat now.

The Ann Coffey Report cost only £2550 according to FOI. The PCC’s office also say it was received to widespread acclaim. There are likely 16,000 plus victims across the GMP area and the IPCC might be dealing with 1000 former and serving officers if Rotherham extends to GMP (10 times the size, nearly double Pakistani population as a percentage).
