They think its all over..it isn’t

What other than genes, link Banaras & Sageer Hussain, recently charged with numerous counts of CSE, including rape and pimping, with their family member Akhtar?

I know, and if you read some of the reports and newspaper articles you can figure it out. Anyway it it’s all about to emerge, meaning more embarrassment and shame for the Labour party. 

The local Labour Party, buoyed by May’s Council election results, are no doubt planning a major re launch as the new, democratic, transparent, youthful, born again party we hope for.

Unfortunately there will remain on the labour election ticket many of the faces associated with the past failures, and while not themselves active in criminality, they have been sycophants and apologists for those under suspicion. They have at least failed to scrutinise and prioritise the protection of children.

In the end Labour locally and regionally will have no one but themselves to blame, as through a combination of fear, arrogance and laziness they have left the pace of reform in the hands of the Police, Jay & Casey…merely sitting on their hands and announcing investigations that are under resourced and to say the least half hearted.

An example is the selection process for Alam Mohammed Saghir and Yasseen Taiba Khatoon as their recently successful Council candidates for Boston Castle Ward.

Three of those who voted (part of the Mosque clack) to select them were themselves the subject of formal complaints about bullying and intimidation of a Party member. An inquiry that supposedly began over nine months ago, but with no action to date and not even the interviewing of all witnesses.

The bullying was part of an attempt to silence an ordinary member seeking to question councillors about CSE and their alleged failure to protect local children.

The embarrassment to the party locally and nationally will increase if ,as alleged by Rothpol, at least one and maybe two of them are to be prosecuted for CSE or other criminal offences covered by Jay and Casey.

That the two candidates, Alam and Taiba, used these votes to win the nomination will be a smear they’ll struggle to clean up by 2016, and it will become a factor.

There are more cases to come, and unless the LP gets active and serious about cleansing the local party it will be hard to convince voters that they have truly changed for the better.
