A CONFERENCE to highlight alternatives to the controversial HS2 high speed rail scheme will take place next week.
The event, at Wakefield Town Hall next Friday, is open to all and aims to cover issues related to the proposals.
HS2 Ltd wants to build a line from Aston through Bramley, Ravenfield, Wales, Mexborough and the Dearne Valley after switching from a previous route via Meadhowhall last summer.
