I have just spent 20 minutes being passed from department. to department. in RMBC trying to get a copy of their list of Assets of Community Value, no one knows what I am talking about.
It would seem that the Localism Act has passed Rotherham by. This just proves to me what I already knew that the people of Rotherham do not coun,t so why bother to read the Localism Act.
Tried my local RMBC councillors I may as well have asked for the formula to turn lead into gold, mind you they might know that; its first join the Labour Party then get nominated and finally get elected to RMBC. I will try again tomorrow.

– where it says:
“Two separate registers are held for successful and unsuccessful nominations which include all assets nominated by groups as an asset of community value, identification plan and the reasons for this decision.

Sorry if I have mislead you all, I know what the lists are and where they are the point I was trying to prove is; the council employees and the councillors do not. My fishing trip proved I was right in my assumption that RMBC would not have trained their staff but more importantly the councillors have not bothered to read the Localism Act that affects every aspect of local government. Thanks to all of you who have taken the trouble to pass the information to me, you have proved my other assumption that the people know more than the over paid elected scroungers.

Good effort Dave.
You have proved your point beyond doubt; Councillors and paid employees of RMBC are clueless when it comes to their own failings. They are brilliant at criticising the Coalition but show a woeful lack of knowledge (ignorance?) when asked about what they themselves can do and have done in the past or what assets they own.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for any improvements…………………………….
