More than 7,000 lines of enquiry in British FBI’s Rotherham abuse probe
The probe by the ‘British FBI’ into child sex abuse in Rotherham has identified more than 7,000 lines of enquiry in its first year, more than double the total from earlier this summer.
The huge amounts of material generated by Operation Stovewood mean it is almost certain to become the largest investigation of its kind in UK history.
If the NCA are looking at the abusers, the IPCC are looking at the negligent/corrupt police officers, who are looking at corrupt Labour councillors and RMBC staff who covered it all up?

I expect it is being “monitored” (council speak for covered up!)

Of course all that is exceptional about Rotherham is that we know about it in detail; courtesy of Julie Bindel, Jayne Senior and Andrew Norfolk especially, Jay and Casey.
If such a comprehensive exercise as Stovewood was carried out across the board including all the afflicted towns and cities including(not though exclusively) in the West Midlands, East Midlands, Thames Valley, West and South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and E Lancs I just wonder how many lines of enquiry that would generate?
100,000? 250,000? More?
The emphasis being placed by the Goddard Enquiry on Rotherham model CSE is entirely inadequate.
She states
“Goddard said: “The investigation will focus on high-profile allegations of child sexual abuse involving current or former members of parliament, senior civil servants, government advisers and members of intelligence and security agencies.”
Snuffling through decades of the detritus of rumour and recovered memories examining fag ends and entrails is certain to be time consuming and unproductive.

The focus is bizarrely skewed to put it mildly.

Don’t you get the impression that the authorities already know the results of what they would find if they were to properly investigate all these other towns, as Jay and Casey did Rothehram. They have been cleverly trying to associate CSE with criminality, instead of realiseing it goes much further than that. When are they going to admit it a religious/cultural problem with the Pakistani’s.

That would stick in their craw!

Oh yes. most definitely – that’s why there would never be a Jay enquiry directed at Bradford, Sandwell or Birmingham
though of course there should be
“Birmingham City Council hid links between Asian cabbies and child sex victims for 23 years”

The Goddard Enquiry approach is clearly going to be one of lessons have been learned, let’s move on
“the investigation will assess
the extent to which the wide range of relevant authorities have learned lessons,
implemented recommendations, and put in place effective strategies to prevent child
sexual exploitation in future. We will consider, for instance, whether the police and
other agencies are using civil prevention orders effectively; whether the current
regulation of the nighttime economy and taxi licensing is effective in protecting
children from abuse; and whether the criminal justice system is providing appropriate
treatment and support to victims and survivors of child sexual exploitation”

They are also seeking to bury it by conflating it with abuse which in some cases took place decades ago, is not at all comparable in scale and scope and indeed in some instances is sheer fantasy – as has become increasingly clear with the alleged Westminster high level paedo ring
“When are they going to admit it a religious/cultural problem with the Pakistani’s.”
What passes for authority in Westminster and local government created Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford, Aylesbury, Telford, Derby etc etc through cowardly neglect, purblind political correctness and base vote grubbing in the case of the vile Labour Party. They aren’t going to put their hands up and say that it’s a fair cop – what they’ll do is continue to bury it, pass the buck and try to jam down the lid on non-existent community cohesion. How long they can maintain this pernicious line remains to be seen, hitting them in the ballot box hurts.

If the NCA say the IPCC are investigating officers from SYP in relation to CSE I sincerely hope that the said IPCC are going to look at certain RMBC councillors who claimed to “own” SYP, RMBC and the local media. I take it that we all know the people I make reference too ??
If they are not fully investigated / reinvestigated then it is a travesty of justice !

An investigation into allegations that two ‘current or former’ Rotherham councillors were involved in child sexual exploitation is being prioritised by the National Crime Agency.

Xinsider, they are the Independent POLICE Complaints Commission, not the Independent COUNCIL Complaints Commission. As such, investigating the Council isn’t within their remit.

Interesting to read in The Star today that the NCA has “prioritised” the investigation of 2 Councillors or former Councillors with regard to CSE in Rotherham in a statement released this morning !
