Don wants a response – will Shaun Wright oblige?

Dear Cllr Wright,

I note with some concern and much puzzlement that I have had neither the courtesy of an acknowledgement or of a response from you in connection with the simple questions that I e-mailed to you over a week ago on Friday, 21 September, 2012, 11:14 hrs.

I must say that I am disappointed that a politician like you who has seemingly occupied so many high profile positions as a public servant can’t respond to a citizen’s enquiry.

Perhaps you may find time from your numerous obligations over this weekend to provide me with the courtesy of either an acknowledgement or a reply.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely,
Donald H. Buxton

P.S. – I am also copying this e-mail onto your weblink – http://www.shaunwright.co.uk/contact.html – to ensure safe receipt of my request.

  1. Don’t hold your breath Mr Buxton waiting for Wright to reply, he has form on keeping tight lipped.
Look at his recent performance over the child sex abuse scandal, not a word, I understand that he is already planning on how to spend that £80k a year salary, hope it lasts, as I also hear that if Labour do win the next election the PPC post will go.
Now couldn’t that be so funny.

    • Dear Peter Baker,

It’s nearly as funny as imagining that he sat on the interview panel for the PCC chief exec role that someone was recently appointed to 🙂

It’s nearly as funny as imagining that the Electoral Commission are now beginning to scrutinise the ££ expended in the PCC election campaign 🙂

It’s nearly as funny as imagining that Rovrum Laybah have decided that they will jettison a has-been joker who’s turning out to be a right Jonah for them 🙂

You’re right it could be really really funny … apart from this buffoon has been present in a position of scrutiny and authority in statutory organisaations who have presided over the biggest scandal that’s descended on Rovrum for maybe 50 years.

This makes the Rovrum Poverty Forum fiasco look positively funny on reflection.

  2. I understand Cllr Shaun Wright is under investigation from the Electoral Commission for non declaration of funds.

Cllr Wright was appointed by Rotherham Council as cabinet member and chair of Children and Young People Board between 2005 and end of 2009. During this period he was also a member of Rotherham Local Safeguarding Children’s Board, hence, he must have had an awareness/knowledge of what was happening right under his nose but chose to do nothing. Do we really want a person with such a record / background to be our Police and Crime Commissioner?.
